The kind of American venue where taste, class, and easy elegance meld and all you have to do is show up and enjoy! This is a medium sized art museum, of half a dozen rooms, with a mixture of mediums and artists. The staff are friendly and kind and the parking validation is a grace they provide with the reasonable entrance fee. It’s so good here it may take you longer than you expected! Centered in the downtown, there are numerous other attractions and sites to see, including Jesus over Government!
This art museum has a wide assortment of art ranging from photography to paintings to glasswork and even more audacious art like Shadow and light art. I want to say that this place was very well laid out, and very quiet and clean. The staff here was a tremendous help as well. I would definitely recommend this museum if you have an hour or two to spend. They also validate parking and it's easy to navigate the site.
A wonderful surprise and a gem of a museum! I’ve visited art museums from coast to coast and Huntsville is now at the top of my list. It was a memorable experience and they have a wide collection for everyone to find artists and techniques they can appreciate. If you need creative inspiration or a mini retreat, I highly recommend!

Amazing place with a room to grow. Will be a true gem in the future. The strength of the exposition in some great works of American artists. The pictures at the end are cute but I have seen a lot of kid drawings that are much better than these.

★★★★★My younger kiddo enjoyed the art museum to some degree, but one walk through was enough for him. It is a fantastic place to start dipping his toes into art appreciation! It was fun to point out to him the various pieces and go on imaginary journeys back in time.
Please, please go there! An impressive variety of exhibits. Clear yet precise descriptions of the artists and the moments when the artworks were created. Even two hours isn’t enough to explore everything in detail.
I visited here for the first time while in town, and it is absolutely beautiful! The visual artwork and paintings were picturesque, perfectly framed with informative, detailed descriptions beside each painting. My favorite exhibit was the “Coming Home” exhibit featuring artwork and photography from three contemporary artists. It was amazing! One of the photographers was there in person and I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting him. His name is LeXander Bryant. I’m a huge fan of his photography work now, as it brought back moments of deep nostalgia from my childhood. Also, the security, front desk staff, and gift shop associate were so kind and welcoming. I loved my experience here and I’m pretty sure you will also. This museum is a must see if you’re ever in Huntsville!
