I want to sincerely thank Wazobia African Market for organizing the Kids Entrepreneurship Program. It is such an amazing opportunity for children to learn valuable life skills at a young age. Teaching kids about entrepreneurship, financial responsibility, and how to become wise with money is a priceless investment in their future. I truly appreciate the founder and everyone involved for their dedication to empowering the next generation while supporting parents in raising confident, responsible, and future-minded children. Initiatives like this make a lasting impact on our community. On top of that, the food is always delicious and prepared with care! Thank you for all that you do. First time visiting this store I got some puff-puff, jollof rice, and coconut rice. The puff-puff was good though. The rice was way worse than I expected dry as hell, no stew, nothing. The chicken tasted like it was just boiled in water with salt only. It wasn’t even fresh (it looked like it was from the day before). I can’t recommend Wazobia’s ready-to-eat food. There are a lot of African restaurants out here that serve much more flavorful dishes.

Literally only gave one piece of beef with my red stew. Do not recommend. There are other places around where your money will honored and worth it. Will never get my business again!

I came to know this market after watching a food blog from YouTube in terms of African food in Houston. It also happens that It's been a long time since I was searching for a market that would sell beef skin and fresh goat meat with skin on. I've been looking on almost every big international market in Houston, and I'm glad to finally find it here! Inside the store, everything is neat and well organized. It doesn't seem hard to find what I'm looking for. The staff were nice and helpful. I also love the fresh and hot meat bread that they have. It's delicious. I'm looking forward to coming back in the future.

This place is truly a hidden 💎 I've been wanting to try them for a while now. Finally was able to since I was working in the area, listen, they didn't disappoint! 🙌🏾 The workers were very nice, helpful, and friendly which is one of the things I'm always looking out for. The food? THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! 💕 I typically frequent Komchop but that changed that day, love this place, definitely will be back. 🙃

I was at store today June 3rd 2026 at about 7:30am and had a very disgusting experience from the cashier. Poor customer service in the 21st century. This lady was so arrogant, rude and disrespectful. I left the store without buying anything and promised never to ever enter that store again. I WON’T recommend this store to anyone. I went to another African store on Bissonet and I was greatly received.

I always buy Ogi(pap) and akara for breakfast The yam and egg is good. But i prefer the sauce for yam! Ayamashe is good Sandra and all Other staffs were pleasant and with smiles

Rich and tasty meal, reasonable pricing, kids friendly, very clean environment, very helpful staff. Plenty varieties. I strongly recommend this place.
