Hi. I am 535 Pounds and want to proceed with biatric surgery, but I don't have health insurance and I can't get on the show. Does Dr. Now perform the surgery on patients without health insurance? Tim

Since everyone else is doing it.. I have been watching My 600lb Life since the beginning. I myself used to weigh over 400lbs. I lost everything on my own, but I know how hard it is. The show is personal to me in that regard, and I love that the mental side of it is greatly considered. Dr. Nowzaradan, you are an incredible human. You have the right approach to extreme weight loss. You’re kind, but not afraid to be blunt and hit your patients with both truth and reality. Thank you for being as passionate as you are, you’re saving lives.

Very disappointed in the "assistant" here. I don't even know his name because when I ask for it, he tells me his name is James bond. Guy is very rude, would call and tell me to come on a certain day just to have Rosie call me and tell me to come on a different day. Scheduled a surgery without even telling me what day it was on. I show up for my follow up appointment and was told to show up in two days for gallbladder surgery that I had no clue was even scheduled already. My insurance covers the surgery 100%, no copay but I get a call saying I will owe $400 for an assistant fee. I never heard of such a thing and neither did my insurance company nor my PCP. They tried to explain it away that he doesn't take the insurance that Dr. Now accepts which is crazy because now you will have billing issues with ALL of your patients. I wasn't even told that this man doesn't take my insurance, or I would of never continued to be seen by this clinic. Not a very good way to run a Dr office. Just beware because something to me is very wrong with this situation. If they say you have a copay for something please call your insurance to verify you really do. What a waste of time.

When I had a video appointment with Dr. Nowzaradan, I thought he was going to be respectful, but I thought wrong. Last year I lost my mother and I was going through it for a long time. So I decided I wanted to change my life and get in Dr. Nowzaradan's program. When I find out I had a video appointment with him, I was excited because I thought I was going to get some help but thought wrong. The way that man talked to me like I was an animal out on the street. I felt disrespected how the way he came at me. The comment that he made towards me went too far when he stated that" I'm Bed bound and on social security. As a doctor he know he should never verbally abused his patients. I understand if im doing something wrong to let me know but it's how you do it without insulting someone. When he insult and disrespected me that ran me off, so I just took my business to another doctor that I don't have to worry about getting degraded and disrespected. I would never come back here again.

I binge watch My 600lb life and that show alone is enough to keep me in the healthy weight range. I use to be moderate obese at 263lbs. I get teary eyed at the stories because it shows how quickly you can go from healthy to morbidly obese without noticing until it's too late. I love how Dr Now doesn't sugar coat the facts. It truly shows his compassion and dedication to his patients.

I had a personal conversation with Dr. Now HIMSELF! Just hearing from him was motivating. A hardworking, world renown doctor calling me, a lowly person from a town no one knows about, calling me back! I'm so blessed. Dr. Now please keep going till your last breath. You are changing the world

I Love this Doctor and his staff. I been going to him since 2010,2011 stop going and just started going back this year 2023 even better service. Doctor Now is just brutally honest and some of us need that. He will help you get back on track you just have to be willing to listen and do like he says if you want to be a healthier you.
