Me and my wife had a great experience at this dealership! After weeks of shopping around, it was very clear that Gilchrist had the best service. Mostly due to the salesman named Justin. Justin was kind and respectful to us and that goes a long way. Even with that kind treatment he still did everything in his power that he could to give me all the mark downs I was eligible for and worked extra hard to give me most for my trade in. I wasn't going to get as much for my trade in anywhere else (we because we looked). At the end of the day, he got me the vehicle I wanted exactly how I wanted it and also kept me at the price point I wanted to be at. I highly recommend this dealership, especially Justin.
When I got here was greeted by a rude salesman. His customer service was bad and the way he was being made me want to leave. But thankfully Juan ended up helping us and was great i’m not one to bash names but I am one to praise people for doing their best!

I want to give a shout out to my salesman MD for his humble and honest approach in getting the deal done. He worked well and hard to make the experience smooth. Really went above and beyond to the best of his ability. I Can’t say enough nice things about this dude man, seriously, thank you. To the sales manger AHMAD, who was very cool and both very informative and willing to make a deal in order to gain a loyal customer. To the finance manager ERIK who really took time and calmly shared some financing tips and worked out some questions for us. And finally to sales manager JASON and the service porter who’s name I didn’t get, thank you for working out a final little hiccup for me at the end of the deal, as we were driving out, to make sure my wife’s new family truck was ready for the road! Can’t say enough about all these dudes. They Really seem genuine, thank you. I hope and plan to give them more business in the near future.

My shopping experience was Fantastic and probably the best experience I’ve had with a dealership. I would like to thank Terrance and Omarion for their knowledge, professionalism and kindness. I will definitely recommend both to friends and family.
However when I got to finance the professionalism stop Quickly. They automatically added additional sales without my approval and became extremely defensive and pushy when I told I didn’t want the added options.
I’m give 5 stars to my salesmen. And a 0 star for the two in finance.
This Dealership is under both new ownership and management. I am very happy with the new ownership and the quality of people they have brought in.
I recommend bringing your vehicle here for service. The warranty and pricing for repairs is fair. The level of service is priceless and they go above and beyond.

★★★★☆Amin and Amed were very straight forward and accommodating with selling me my new vehicle. They went above and beyond to meet me at a reasonable offer for a new Chevy trailblazer. The only hiccup was the finance office. The finance manager almost lost the deal by aggressively pressuring me to keep insurances and warranties I stated several times I did not want. He worded the conversation like these things were mandatory so I left. Luckily Amin and Amed came back and saved the deal and everything was removed. They dropped off my car yesterday and I love it.
Worst customer service after the sale. I have been trying to get a hold of someone for my registration for almost 2 weeks. My temporary registration is now expired. Been "disconnected" while being transferred. Apparently my salesman is no longer employed there-called him twice and he hung up on me before I could finish saying who I was. Reached out to the original finance manager I signed with via call and text-no response. Been advised business is now Gilchrist Chevrolet. New business says I'd get a call back, no call backs for 3 days. Someone finally told me they don't handle the previous sales docs and I need to contact another dealership.... still no registration because the other dealership didn't even know they are handling any business from another Gillman store. I've already made my first payment and still no registration. Still no answers.
I visited Gilchrist (7000 Southwest Fwy, Houston) to sell my 2018 Honda Accord. The appraisal staff were kind and professional, but I initially declined their offer. As I was leaving, a salesperson (Mr. MD) offered a Blazer EV lease and said they could honor the deal and try to improve my trade-in value if we completed everything the same day. I agreed and they began the paperwork.
In the meantime, the manager who had presented the proposal had left, and another young manager had begun working on the file.
After the young manager inspecting my car, Mr. MD told me they secured a better deal: $18,000 for my Accord and a two-year Blazer EV LT lease for $4,886, with the difference paid to me by check. I accepted and they started the credit check. About 15 minutes later, they returned and said there had been a “misunderstanding.” The lease price remained the same, but there would be no cash payout, and without the trade-in they would offer only $16,000. If I had accept their trade-in offer, the lease cost for two years would be about $23K, crazy. In the last a couple of months, Blazer LT leased for $4500-$5000 for two years.
Changing the terms after a verbal agreement and a credit check felt very disrespectful, so I took my car and left. I still appreciate the kindness and professionalism of the appraisal staff and Mr. MD. Unfortunatelly I couldn't remember the young manager who changed the offer after agreed both side. I wanted to share this because the behavior of this young manager was an inappropriate act that cast a shadow over the reputation of the GM brand. Thanks.
