Ducky McShweeney’s Pub

My boyfriend and I were visiting Houston, and came across this place one night. Seconds away from our hotel. Really great atmosphere. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the manager/bartender Cesar. He was so kind and welcoming, and made the best drinks. We had such a good time and really enjoyed Cesar and his staff. Everyone was awesome. We went back the next night to end our vacation. I will definitely keep this place in mind anytime we visit Houston.

Had an awesome time watching the world cup. I had the cowboy Burger. It was awesome. It was literally standing the room only but the servers were making sure everyone had their drinks and food.

The atmosphere was super chill and comfortable. The Kobe burger, fries and Crab Rangoon bread appetizer were both amazing followed by a tasty top shelf margarita. But, what set the whole lunch off was Sabrina’s smile and attitude. She was so sweet, provided excellent service and was super helpful with the menu as this was my first time in. I will definitely be back and bring some friends.

Took a lunch break here with a coworker since it was such a beautiful day and the place was just a quick walk from the office. The atmosphere immediately gave off that classic Irish pub vibe — warm, inviting, and nicely decorated with comfortable chairs and bar stools. It’s the kind of spot that feels equally great for a casual lunch or an after-work hangout. I decided to try their Ducky Dog with fries and paired it with an unsweetened iced tea. The food was tasty and satisfying — a good hearty lunch that hit the spot. The only minor downside was that the food took a little longer than expected to come out, especially since the place wasn’t too busy at the time. But honestly, the wait wasn’t a big deal because the service made up for it. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and checked in just the right amount. I also noticed they have two dart boards, which I thought was awesome — perfect for hanging out after work or on a weekend. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back, and next time I plan to stop by during non-working hours to try some drinks and maybe a few rounds of darts.

For where its located, I was expecting the spot to be upscale like but its a cool spot that is laid back on dress code, despite the neighboring building which is a Sushi place (and also in which their kitchen if you order from Ducky, the food is made their) in which other spots near & around I was lucky to find a spot like this especially if I try to go towards the Southside & stop at my favorite local business Before I chime in on the positives, there is one slight negative & depending on the times you can get at Ducky, the bar area can get real packed & normally I like sitting around that area regardless of any bar establishment so wait times can vary but there is other seating areas but that is the only negative I can say The positives, before going inside, there is enough spaces to park & though the times I have been there was at night I was fortunate to find parking space. When you get inside you are amazed to be like wow in the Galleria where there are places that are upscale like & may enforce dress code, this is a diamond in the rough. I like the interactions between the staff & bar patrons whether one wants to just get a drink or get food & drinks, depending on the occasion this is a Go To if the upscale environment is not one's cup of tea. Would I go here often, that depends because I often don't venture towards the Galleria area or near by but it will be a spot that is up on my alley PS. Great spot to watch soccer! I've been here several times to watch El Clásico between Real Madrid and Barcelona, and also matches like Atlético de Madrid vs. Arsenal. The atmosphere is always great, especially for big games. The happy hour prices on both beer and food are excellent, making it an even better place to hang out. Another big plus is that there's a sushi restaurant next door, and you can bring your sushi over while enjoying the game. They have plenty of space, ample parking, and the staff does a great job handling the crowds during major matches. Completely recommended for any soccer fan looking for a fun place to catch a game! ⚽🍻

Cute pub with really good drinks. The food was decent for a bar. The service wasn't great, but they were busy. Could have benefited to have at least another person working all the tables.

Tony absolutely made our game-day experience unforgettable. We came to watch the Mexico match and he kept the energy high the entire time. He was attentive, friendly, quick with every request, and made sure we never had to ask for anything twice. Even with the crowd and excitement of the game, he stayed on top of everything and made us feel like VIPs. Great service, great attitude, and genuinely one of the best servers we’ve had anywhere. Tony is the reason we’ll be coming back. 10/10!
