This museum has really transformed over the years into a wonder interactive and educational space. (Goodbye glass cases of Barbies from every era! Some other native Houstonians may get the reference.) The kidtropolis is really cool and will keep kiddos of all ages busy for hours. The concept is an entire city's block worth of buildings for kids to interact with and experience like a "grow-up." They can choose their own food at the grocery or at Nikko Nikkos (yes, it's actually branded) and pay with money. The bank lets kids begin to experience things like the stock market and loans. These are just a few of the fun places along the way Outdoors is (blessedly) partially covered so parents can sit in the shade while young ones play in the water feature (no huge splashes or pools so bathing suits are not needed, though a spare pair of socks and/or shoes isn't a bad idea) or race boats down river. There is also a small AstroTurf lawn with hills and dips for kids to jump and run around on. The biggest star (for me) was the nature center right in the middle of the outdoor space- this is a must see! Indoors has climbing tunnels that take you up and down three floors. There is a HUGE maker space within the basement floor engineering room (such a fantastic space!) and science, STEM, STEAM, all the educational acronyms are all checked here!

They have changed a few things here, and it does not disappoint! It’s especially great for moms with little ones. The second floor now features a dedicated toddler and infant section for kids ages 5 and under, with a specific area just for infants 18 months and younger. There is plenty of seating available for parents while the kids play. Best of all, the area is completely fenced in so they can't wander out, and the staff does a great job monitoring the space. Highly recommend!

We visited for 2.5 hours and had such an amazing time with our 18 month old. He enjoyed all of the exhibits, but especially loved the outdoor section and the upper toddler level. I was impressed how the staff were able to keep the place clean and relatively organized considering how many kids there were always playing. We will for sure be making a trip back

We love the new 3rd floor wonder spot. It has great places for 5 and under to play and a separate area for 18 months and even a little “Baby Haven” for immobile babies. The lactation rooms are perfect: comfy arm chair, diaper changing station, sink, toys for the toddler, and even a chair to strap the toddler into. The lack of comfortable seating in exhibits discourages breastfeeding outside of lactation room. I’m guessing it also helps keep parents engaged with their little ones. I wish the museum had toddler potties or seat reducers in at least one set of bathrooms. I also wish we were permitted to bring in our own lunches. Parking garage is not connected to museum, so be prepared to cross the street. I miss the old bubble room. We enjoy the motion exhibits and science counter, kidtropolis, and the outdoor nature center. We have a membership, which allows us to come and go throughout the day. It is a fantastic museum and I wish we lived closer!

Absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend visiting! My 3.5 year old had fun, but there was a lot that was above him (I’d recommend for ages 3-10). So much interactive stuff. We came on a hot day and had a lot of fun with the waterworks.

Howdy partner buckle up for this one it’s gonna be good! Me and the boys came here on an 8th grade end of year field trip last year and had a blast ! Me, Connor, Andrew and Brandon all hung out together and had such a sigma time ! Shh don’t tell anyone but me and Connor r the 8th grade gays and we made out the whole 30 minutes on the bus coming here !!! When we got here we had a blast with our friends. The 4 of us boys hung out together and ditched our chaperones. They said not to but life’s tough get a helmet. We ran off and did our own stuff. We climbed the rope fort which was a blast, we even vaped up there that was edgy 😝. Then we ran around the town area and acted like ignorant road pirates catching people speeding on the street and we would slam them on the ground and write em a ticket. Our teachers got pretty mad about that lol. The water play area was the best ! We would splash water on each other’s crotch to make it look like we pissed our pants ! Damn that was funny ! There was hella stuff to do and I can’t say how much fun we had as a group. We spent so much money in the gift shop. We spent all our lunch money like our teachers told us not too but oh well. We bummed some snacks off the teachers !!! I couldn’t wait for the bus ride back to school so me and Connor could make out again! Definitely would really recommend bringing the family here !

We had a great time with the kids! Everything seemed to get funner the longer we were there!! The experiments inside, the giant water play area outside, the indoor playground and finally we ended up at the kidtropolis where the kids went crazy getting kid bucks out of the atms and going shopping. I have a 6yr old and 8 yr old and we spent about 5 hours there!!! Kids didn’t want to leave 😄
