Cafe Mawal

I ordered the kofta sandwich and fries for $13. The food itself tasted good, but I was disappointed with the amount of kofta on the sandwich. There were only two very small pieces of meat, so I could barely taste it. If I had to guess, there was only about 1/8 of a pound of meat. The flavor was great, but the portion size didn’t match the price. With a little more kofta on the sandwich, this would have been an easy recommendation.

This is my go-to Mediterranean and hookah spot. The food is so good I’m already excited for my leftovers before I’m even halfway done. Portions are huge. Prices are kind. A lot of people come during the day to eat, work, and enjoy a hookah break. The WiFi is strong too. You won’t regret stopping by for food or a relaxing hookah session.

The food is amazing and their hookah’s are also well packed and flavorful. For the price this place is definitely a standout I’ve been multiple times since my first visit just trying it out. Will definitely be going back again and again!

We checked out Mawal Café in Webster, TX and had a great experience. We originally went to try the hookah, but ended up ordering some food as well, and I’m glad we did. The shawarma wrap was solid. It came with fries, which were surprisingly good. I’d give the shawarma an 9/10 and the fries a 10/10. We also had the manakeesh with za’atar and cheese, and that was excellent. They used authentic Middle Eastern cheese and high-quality za’atar, definitely a 10/10. The Iraqi tea was a standout. It came in a pot with two small glasses and was served with honey. The mint and cardamom gave it a really nice flavor, 10/10 for sure. We tried the Knafeh. It was very good. A little bit too sweet. Maybe next time we will order the syrup on the side, 9 of 10. As for the hookah, it was top notch. Well prepared and the hookahs are good quality 10/10. The vibe of the place is cozy and relaxed. There’s outdoor seating, which looked nice, though it was too hot during the day. I imagine it’s perfect in the evening. The staff were super friendly, without being pushy, and always had a smile. Big thanks to Kenny for the excellent service, really appreciated! Overall, I definitely recommend Mawal Café. I’ll be coming back.

Excellent experience. You guys exceeded my expectations. I didn't think it was a very visited last night. They were full house. I loved the lamb shank and the falafel. The meat of the mix grill is very juicy and delicious. The truth is a place with a very good atmosphere and the only thing is that it is very full but the handle it so well very professional😋😋😋

generally i dont leave reviews until i get either a execptional service or a bad one. lol it was not my first time there, i have been there many times and they do not dissapoint me everytime i was there. So i decided to do a review on them....we went their with friends and family on eid day, love everything about the place. food was on point, flavor, quantity and price. hookah was amazing too. best thing about it was the customer service. we ordered a lot of food but got so busy eating that we even forgot to take pictures of every item...😝 i am glad we have this gem on this side of town and dont have to drive all the way to houston.

If i could, i’d give zero stars. The cake had mold in it and tasted funky. I thought the chicken shawarma would be good but i’ve never had a wrap taste so tangy. The chicken was undercooked and all gooey. The only edible thing was the prepacked fries. Didn’t follow instructions and didn’t give condiments. Extremely disappointing and would never recommend. 👎

This is our go-to place for relaxing, eating, and quality time. The food is always hot and fresh, the tea is the perfect strength, and the service is always pleasant. They know our faces, so they always have a welcoming smile. The restaurant is inside and outside, which is nice on a not so hot evening.
