Attended birthday party at 10pm on Saturday. Parking was limited: on street or old post office parking lot.
The place has long bar, small dance floor and DJ area. Lots of seating. Age range was 30 & up. Music was mix of R&B, old school rap & zydeco. The outside is 👏 AMAZING ..games, lights, trees like an island experience. 2 bars outside and fans. Great to place host outdoor event! The owner or manager was attentive.
The 4 star was because the outside had horrible odor which manager explained efforts to eliminate smell. More cooling fans needed outside. Couldn't tell you about the cost or strength of drinks: I didn't drink🤫

Had a blast! Went to a private event /party that was hosted there. We played a murder mystery game where everyone had to participate. The host and staff were great.

★★★★★My first time was watching a friend, Michael Reeves, perform on R&B Thursdays at the Cafe Lounge. They have an R&B/Poetry lineup which consists of great local artists. More so, drink specials ($5 Well before 8 p.m.), food, hookah & more. So far I like this place. I believe it will be booking this fall (2019).
The food is a soul food buffet style brunch. The food was very well seasoned, could've been a bit warmer on some dishes. The spot was hosted a reunion gathering, so the people that were not there for the gathering we assembled in a corner, and sort of lacked attention. On a regular Sunday, it probably would've been a better rating.
A small place with a cool, laid back, and old fashioned appeal to it. We had arrived some time after 10 pm on Saturday night, and the band was still playing. Service was good also. Only reason we left earlier than planned was because the kitchen was closed and we had to get some food. Definitely worth another visit.

Fish was huge! Didn't get pic of sampler plate was also a great plate. I seen others plates loaded. So great portions for prices.
