If I was 30 years younger and still taking my children to the beach this would be a go to spot. How did we not know about this place? Caution is advisable because the rocks could be dangerous if children are not supervised. That being said, every childhood spirit no matter the age should live the adventure of a magical forest that leads to an ocean with rocks that look like small cliffs to the young at heart. We found some beautiful shells and the beach wasn't crowded. We unfortunately didn't get to experience the water blowing through the rocks. The tide was changing as we left but they close early. If you prefer soft sand and busy beaches this may not be your cup of tea. They ask for a small donation to help maintain the preserve but 2 dollars a person is worth the price. Donate more if you can to help maintain this stunning place. I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated! Thank you too all the volunteers that take care of this wonderful place. It is a beautiful place and we will return another time better prepared for tidal changes. I can't wait for my grandson to see it. I will be looking forward to our next adventure here. The only downside is that it's not handicapped accessible. That does break my heart a little.

Visitor notes
We had a wonderful visit to Blowing Rocks Preserve. The place is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. The boardwalks, beach access, and natural surroundings made it a really special experience for our family. Although the ocean was calm that day and we didn’t get to see the full “blowing rocks” effect, the scenery alone was worth the visit. It’s a unique and serene spot, perfect for a quiet walk and enjoying nature. We would love to come back on a rougher day to see the rocks in action. Highly recommended!
This is such a beautiful and incredible place! One of the very few parks in Florida with a rocky shoreline and natural ocean rocks, which makes it feel truly unique and special. I highly recommend coming here for sunrise or even an hour before — there are very few people around, and the atmosphere feels magical. The ocean looks absolutely stunning in the early morning light. Peaceful, beautiful, and definitely a place worth visiting!
This was a beautiful stop for us. We started on the inlet side. It was peaceful with some fun photo ops. Then we walked over to the ocean side. We weren't there the right time to see the plumes, but it was still fun. The beach was gorgeous and the rock formations were really cool to check out. There was also a nice little walk through the trees between the beach and the road. There was a place to rinse off. We didn't really spend time in the center but it seemed informative.
Although it is very beautiful beach it is very misleading that it is some spectacular large site to see. Plenty of parking around the area and there's some great things to explore. And the beach is absolutely beautiful. But I was a little kicked off that this glowing rocks was not bigger and more noticeable.
We came on the last day of our trip. If we’d come on the first day, we’d have been here every single day. It’s that stunning. Just pure unspoiled beauty. The sight of the waves hitting the rocks was amazing. Made me proud to be a monthly supporter of the Nature Conservancy and inspired to do even more. Love that they provided buckets for beach cleanup too!
This beautiful place offered a peaceful setting with stunning water views. I truly enjoyed my visit, making it perfect for families. It's also a great spot for yourself to go for a walk, enjoy the scenery, and smell the ocean breeze.
We didnt have to buy tickets to walk on this beach. But be forewarned parking lots fill up quickly! Nice little shower off area, shaded in the mangroves. Absolutely no parking along the road sides. We only spent about an hour here , but it was worth it. Next time I'd like to try the mangroves hike, and museum, but they were packed when we were there.
