This tour was phenomenal! Our guide, Daren, was incredibly knowledgable about dolphins, birds, soils, and other wildlife. He was helpful in teaching and guiding new kayakers, too. I learned a TON and got to see some amazing creatures on the 8AM tour. I can’t recommend this experience any higher! Worth every penny and more!

We had an amazing time on our kayak and dolphin tour with Daren! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the local wildlife and shared so many interesting facts throughout the tour. Daren was also very pleasant, professional, and made everyone feel completely safe and comfortable on the water. Seeing the dolphins up close was unforgettable! Highly recommend this tour, especially if you get Daren as your guide.

A MUST DO!!! Just under $100 for my boyfriend and I to go out on the dolphin tour. Guide Darren was VERY knowledgeable about the two species of dolphins we saw and of the MANY birds we saw. Learned a lot from this experience and also got a couple of recommendations for other nature activities on the island like the federal bird preserve. Good things to know before going: your butt will get wet, you will want a water bottle out there, you’ll also get worn out even if you’re an experienced kyacker. There are good restrooms right next to check in by the boat storage. You can also pay to fill up a reusable water bottle here. And then the actual company sells bottles of water for $2 each. It’s hot out there and the tour is 2 hours long where you’ll follow the dolphins as they show up, other than that you’re following other local wildlife. We saw a muskrat! SPF is a must. Life vests had a secure pocket big enough to fit your phone in. Toward the end they also take photos of your individual groups free of charge. Total group was about 10 people.

Went on the guided dolphin tour today with my wife in a double. We booked as a single, but realized when we got there that a double would work better for us it was fantastic. Zach was amazing at guiding and keeping us informed and entertained with all the information truly, a pleasant individual. I would book again

We had an incredible time on our kayak tour, and Daren truly made the experience unforgettable. His knowledge of the area was absolutely tremendous—you could tell he has a deep passion for both the environment and the wildlife, and he shared so many interesting insights throughout the tour. From pointing out hidden spots to identifying wildlife we would have completely missed, he made every moment engaging and exciting. Beyond his expertise, Daren was simply awesome—friendly, patient, and genuinely enthusiastic about making sure everyone had a great experience. He created a relaxed, fun atmosphere while still being professional and attentive to safety. If you’re considering a kayak tour, I can’t recommend this experience (and Daren) enough. It was the perfect combination of adventure, education, and enjoyment. Absolutely a highlight of our trip!

My wife and I went out in Darren’s group this morning. It was a great experience and got to see and follow some of the dolphins! Highly recommend. Darren is very knowledgeable about the area and set us up with some recommendations for food afterwards too. Would absolutely come back next time we are in the area.

Awesome experience! Our guide Zach was fantastic and super knowledgeable. We saw a mama dolphin and her calf. Greatest trip and they made it so easy for a beginner kayaker. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

What a great trip! Thank you so much to Zach and all the folks at Kayak Hilton Head! Very easy and fun. My buddies and I had a great time and learned about some bird life. We saw a mother/calf dolphin duo, and learned how singing can bring these amazing creatures flocking to your boat. Afterward we all sat down to a wonderful meal of tuna-safe dolphin for lunch. Just kidding about that last part. It was actually dinner, not lunch.
