Amazing day out at the Virginia Air and Space Science Center. So much history, The birthplace of America's space programme. We had a fun filled filled day, and the imax footage of the Blue Angels was incredible, just WOW! So much to see and learn. Lots for kids too. Family fun day for all the family. If you love space and planes this is right up your alley

Here’s a polished Google review you can post for Virginia Air & Space Science Center: Took my family here for a special night out hosted by the city, and we had such a great time! The museum was fun, informative, and full of interactive experiences for all ages. We loved the hands-on exhibits, games, and the amazing views from every level of the building. If your family enjoys learning about planes, rockets, and all things air and space, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

The Virginia Air & Space Science Center is a worthwhile destination for aviation and space enthusiasts, particularly because it is one of only 12 official NASA Visitor Centers in the United States. The highlight of my visit was seeing the Apollo 12 command module, and the museum also offers a nice variety of historic aircraft and aerospace exhibits. The facility itself was clean, well-maintained, and parking was free, which was appreciated. That said, there were several disappointments. Admission was expensive for the size of the museum and the overall experience. The gift shop opened later than expected, and customer service throughout the facility left much to be desired. The front desk clerk was unfriendly, and while shopping, the gift shop employee spent much of the time loudly discussing personal matters related to a recent divorce with another staff member. Multiple employees also appeared more interested in discussing a recent basketball game than engaging with visitors. I was also concerned by the condition of the surrounding area, which did not feel safe. While the exhibits themselves are interesting and include some notable artifacts, improvements in customer service and visitor experience would make the museum much more enjoyable.

Its a HUGE meuseum of airplanes, helicopters and space. They have daily shows for extra $. If you enjoy this kind of place it is worth the visit. There is a kid friendly area. Their version of the observation deck has the view of the city buildings and the view of the marina into the Atlantic Ocean. This area needs to be updated and cleaned. There is also a resting and snacking area. You can only eat there. They do not allow food in the meuseum. Next door of this venue is a carousel. U can pay $1.00 to take a ride.

Pros: a fun afternoon. My son loved the giant airplane you could enter and play in the cockpit. The employees around the exhibits were very knowledgeable and friendly. The planes hanging over you as you walk around are very cool. My favorites parts were the models and model timelines for the planes and rockets. Cons: There were multiple exhibits not working. I don’t know how they can feel comfortable continuing to charge full price. The observation deck is pretty bare bones and dangerous with rusty nails laying around from who knows where. There just isn’t a lot of substance. A lot of it is interactive screens (with only half of those working) you play on. Not something that held much interest for me. We visited 10 years ago and tbh I don’t think much has been updated or changed. It was over $60 for 2 adults and child w/ a military discount. It felt a bit excess for what was offered. Suggest the Virginia war museum over this.

Really cool venue, lots of planes and it's cool learning about the history of Nasa's involvement in Langley and the state of VA. IMAX theater was pretty sweet too. They just opened a Tuskegee Airman exhibit, definitely worth checking out. Parking is difficult, there is a lot across the street that's free parking, it's just hard to find.

Love the interactive learning games. Fun for all ages. The airplane you can go in and explore was a hit with our group. Knowledgeable staff.

The Virginia Air & Space Science Center in Hampton is such a fun and memorable place! I first went when I was a little girl, and I remember being completely fascinated by all the planes, rockets, and hands-on exhibits. Years later, I went back as an adult while I was teaching 5th grade, and I took my students on a field trip we had an absolute blast. It was amazing to see them light up with the same curiosity and excitement I had as a kid. The museum does an awesome job making learning fun, and there’s something for everyone, no matter your age. Highly recommend! 🚀✈️.
