I recently moved to Buckeye with my labradoodle, Benji, who is a cancer survivor with Cushing’s disease. I was looking for excellent veterinary care that wouldn’t drain my bank account and found Dr. Ryan Ainsworth. During our first visit, Dr. Ryan took the time to understand Benji’s history and gave a “nose to tail” examination. He then researched the best price for Benji’s prescription and called it in. The very next day, he emailed an in-depth analysis of Benji's lab results to me, along with detailed recommendations for his care. To keep costs low on vet visits, vaccines, prescriptions and lab work, appointments are walk-in only, and he posts his schedule on the Petz Place website. In addition to the clinic, Dr. Ryan is the owner of Petz Place (changing to Bark Avenue) which offers one stop shopping for: - High-quality food, treats, and grooming products - Toys, harnesses, and leashes - Grooming appointments and training classes - Special orders - A full-service drive-through I cannot recommend the Dr. Ryan experience highly enough.

Dr Ryan took his time in evaluating Mocha as well as addressing all my concerns. Very pleasant and nice roomy exam area. Set us up in the portal and recommended some health supplements that are sold in store. Received prescription for ear infections that was available for purchase there (checked Amazon, same price). Received shots for a reasonable price that included exam. Didn’t wait or need appointment. Very pleased that the vet owns the practice and is not owned by Private Equity. Highly recommend based on my experience.

I took my two dogs in this morning for their shots and checkups with Dr. Ryan, and I couldn’t be more impressed. He was incredibly thorough and so gentle with them, especially considering they’re both large dogs. They absolutely loved him — especially my male! It’s such a relief to find a vet who truly cares. On top of that, the prices were the best I’ve ever found. Highly recommend!

My go-to pet store for my Cattle Dog. Love that they’re local, super friendly and helpful and have grooming on-site. We only get nails don’t since my dog doesn’t require much grooming, but absolutely recommend this store for all your pet needs. I buy everything needed for my dog from food, treats, supplies and they’re always super informative and helpful and only carry things they stand by. Come out and support your local pet store.

Had a really great experience at Petz Place! I went into their walk-in vet clinic and Dr. Ryan was great! Easy to talk to, and didn’t rush us at all. He took the time to explain everything and made me feel a lot better about my Luna girl, who is doing a lot better now. On top of that, their prices were really affordable, which was such a relief. It’s not always easy finding quality care that doesn’t break the bank, but they definitely delivered. The staff was friendly and the place was clean and organized too. Overall just a really smooth, stress-free visit. Definitely recommend if you need a walk-in vet.

Everyone here is so friendly and knowledgeable! I am a regular here and I wouldn’t think of coming any where else! I first started coming here three years ago when my vet said I would need to give my dog 3 different eye medications for the rest of her life. She used to separate her kibble and I always thought it was just a cute quirk that should would only eat certain pieces. After that vet visit I knew I wanted to feed my dog higher quality food, it was the staff here that told me my dog was probably depriving her self of essential nutrients and only eating the favored kibble pieces. They helped me find a new alternative and my little dog has been medication free with no more eye problems! I am so thankful that the staff took the time to listen to me to help me find the best possible solution for my lil Apple. I also have a Great Dane and I love how there is such a variety of large breed treats and supplements! You can count on this place to think of your pets as one of their own. Almost everytime I am greeted by Amy and she always has a fun story to share. This is one of the errands I always look forward to, if you want the best for your pets, look no further!

Visited the store yesterday and love this place. So many wonderful options to choose from. We were looking for freeze dried natural treats for our dog, Maple, with minimal ingredients and they carried so many wonderful choices. We were greeted and asked if they could help and were able to steer us in the right direction. Very friendly and prices were comparable if not better than the big box stores. We will definitely be back for more treats for our girl.

We have been shopping with Petz Place for a couple of years, and I can honestly say, it just gets better. We have multiple animals, and of course somebody’s going to have a special diet need. The staff at Petz Place helped us with suggestions that have made a world of difference. The customer service is always top notch.This shop is big city choices with a small town feel. The ordering online option with the drive-thru pick-up is so helpful when we are in a hurry or have kids/dogs in the car. Their loyalty rewards are truly awesome and are just the icing on the cake.
