Golf Club of Estrella

Very nice course. Fairways in good shape and greens were in great shape. They were doing something with some of the green collars when I played where they were over-watered and punched but it wasn't too bad of an issue. And for the price I'm not complaining at all. Will definitely be back.

Course is awful shape. Tee box and fairways have no grass. Blaming it on heat in March but lots of courses are in great shape. $80 is ridiculous to charge.

Played here while visiting AZ a few weeks ago. A nice course. Friendly staff. Fair course.

Golf Club of Estrella was the third day of five for our "twelvesome" and it was truly a superior experience from arrival to departure on the Saturday before Mother's Day. It's hard to imagine a better experience with upbeat professionals at every turn. The care of the course was evident throughout the round and I would be remiss if I didn't call out Abby who singlehandedly kept the twelve of us alive throughout the last 11 or so 100+ degree-heated holes. Her carefully coordinated nail polish, eye and outfit ensemble was a pleasant experience enroute to vital fluid intake. Lunch was a delightful and upbeat experience ensuring that we would survive driving back to our vacation HQ in Scottsdale. It was well worth the drive and we collectively recommend Golf Club of Estrella heartily as twelve dudes that have served our country in the armed forces and seen many a golf course both within the United States and abroad. Hit'em straight and enjoy.

I enjoyed this 18 hole course. The fairways and tees are in great shape. The driving range and practice area is amazing. The staff is over the top friendly. You can make the course as difficult as you want based on the set of tees you play. I highly recommend this course.

The course is in average condition at best. The teeing areas are nice for the most part, the fairways are ok, but by no means lush. The bermuda greens are not my favorite, but they hold pretty well. The surfaces, however, were bumpy in places and speeds were inconsistent. The most disappointing aspect of the day was the almost 5 hr. pace of play. While rangers were present on the back 9, none were seen on the front and once the snails pace was established then there was no way to fix it. We also didn't appreciate the comments of the guy cleaning clubs on 18, who asked how things went, who after we commented it was pretty slow , replied, " what do you expect on a Saturday " ? What we expect from a Troon facility is first class conditions and service. That's not what we got. I do need to offer a positive comment on the cart gal on the back 9, who was friendly, efficient and did a great job. She represents what a Troon facility should be.

Played here 7/3/26. Cost was $58. I would pay $30 to play there again. The bunkers had little to no sand in them. Basically mud. Had to try to pick it clean. Fairways had large areas of brown, scaly mudlike material. Many of the greens had areas of dirt or filled in with sand. This isn’t from aeration. #18 tee box had zero grass. Just sand. Feet would move during swing. I have this 2 stars because everyone working there was great. The course was garbage.

My friends and I definitely want to go back. It's not in our put in a rotation rate though. But if you're are the same as us and look for a better course than the standard public this is worth money and drive to get there. The course is beautiful. It is set to be challenging but you can definitely score on it. We were a little disappointed it was still cart path only and had left out push carts. Ended up walking more.
