★★★☆☆

I visited your restaurant today with my mother, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. First, I wanna say that the food was excellent. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and delicious. The fresh baked bread was absolutely amazing, and the portions were generous and well worth the price. The quality of the food is truly one of your restaurant’s greatest strengths. Unfortunately, the service was a completely different experience. From the moment we were seated, we felt ignored. The staff avoided making eye contact, didn’t seem to listen carefully when taking our order, and placed the dishes on the table without any interaction. After serving our food, no one came back to ask if we needed anything, whether we wanted refills, or even how we were enjoying our meal. Our appetizer arrived without the bread that was supposed to accompany it. We had to ask for the bread. What disappointed me the most was that we observed other tables receiving much friendlier, more attentive, and more welcoming service. They were checked on regularly, greeted warmly, and treated with genuine hospitality. We did not receive the same level of care, and it was difficult not to notice the difference. My mother is Muslim and wears a hijab. While I cannot know the reason for the difference in treatment, the experience left us feeling unwelcome, and that was deeply disappointing. Another issue was the atmosphere inside the restaurant. At one point, it became extremely noisy. Children were running around the dining area, a large group of guests was talking very loudly, and the staff repeatedly dragged and moved chairs around to rearrange tables. It created a lot of unnecessary noise, making it difficult to relax and enjoy our meal. The food deserves five stars. Despite my disappointment with the service, I still left a $20 tip because I believe in recognizing hard work and wanted to be fair. My intention in writing this review is not to criticize unfairly but to provide honest feedback in the hope that every guest to receive the same level of kindness, respect, professionalism, and a comfortable dining experience.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would. We had actually heard about this restaurant all the way in Texas, so when we were visiting LA we knew we had to come try it for ourselves—and it completely lived up to the hype. This restaurant is a true gem in Glendale. The place is spotlessly clean, the service is warm, attentive, and excellent, and the food is simply scrumptious. Every dish tastes authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. It’s a small, cozy place, but the impact it leaves on your belly and your heart is immaculate. You can truly feel the love and care that goes into the food and the hospitality. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed, and by the time you leave, you’re already thinking about coming back. If you’re looking for delicious Persian food and genuine service, this place is a must.

Nersses Vanak is a classic, humble Persian restaurant that instantly reminded me of the old-school chelo-kababi spots in Iran — in the best way possible. From the moment we sat down, the hospitality stood out. The hosts and waiters were incredibly attentive and friendly, starting us off with complimentary freshly baked taftoon bread served with basil — pure, classic Iranian hospitality. We ordered Kash-e Bademjan, Koobideh (Luleh) Kabob, and lamb chops, and everything was absolutely delicious — well-seasoned, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with care. The quality and taste really stood out. If I had to mention one small thing, the rice portion was a bit on the smaller side, but honestly, that didn’t take away from the overall experience at all. I loved the vibe, the food quality, and especially the warm service — big shout-out to Agha Saeed for making the experience even better. Highly recommended if you’re in Glendale. And honestly, don’t waste an hour waiting in line at Raffi’s — not saying they’re bad at all — but give this place a shot. I’m confident you’ll agree with me. Will definitely be back.

First time having the ghormeh sabzi and Kashk bademjan, everything was delicious and plenty of food + leftovers for 2 people. Persian tea and yogurt soda was a good way to end the meal. Will go back here again and would recommend to anyone in the area or visiting !

My friend orders from this restaurant all the time and kept recommending the koobideh—which I love—so I finally had to try it for myself. The service was warm, kind, and attentive. We were seated right away and ordered the chicken kabob, beef koobideh, and ghormeh sabzi. The beef koobideh ended up being my favorite, although the chicken kabob was just as delicious. And the bread… wow. Honestly some of the tastiest bread I’ve ever had from any kabob spot. We took some leftovers to go, and the smell of that bread lingering in my car was absolutely delightful. Definitely a great experience!

Amazing and well seasoned food. Comes out piping hot. It’s a small-to-medium sized restaurant with fast turnover. We had the luleh kobab and lamb kobab, which were both delicious. The bread is fresh and homemade. The servers work extremely hard, but because of volume are not extremely attentive to any one table. They will take your order fast, but you have to have patience to get the bill.

Very disappointed. The restaurant charged me an extra $10 for a “combination” that was never mentioned when I ordered. I checked both the menu and the website, and there is no notice about this extra charge. Also, the prices on the website are different from the prices in the restaurant. When I showed proof, the staff responded rudely and told me not to come back. This is not fair or professional. I will attach photos as evidence.

I had horrible experience here. Went to this restaurant with my family and no welcome at door and after getting seated waiter was keep pushing us to order, not giving us time to review the menu and decide. Food was tasteless and not even salt in the food. As soon as finished the food the waiter brought the check and didn’t even asked if we want anything else or not and then owner came to collect it and i asked nicely to split the check and he became so aggressive. I give customers service zero and wont recommend this place at all. Drove all the way from orange county to this place because i heard its a good place but it was wrong, waste of time and money. They need to learn how to talk with their customers
