Dr. Quan is a gem! I posted this review on the LAGPR guinea pig wheekers! page a couple weeks ago because I wanted all guinea pig parents in the area to know about Dr. Quan, so thought I would here as well. I've owned 4 guinea pigs (all but one adopted from LAGPR) and want to share my experience regarding vets in the area. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Quan at Glendale Small Animal Hospital. She is so kind, extremely knowledgeable, gentle, and caring. She has a lot of experience with guinea pigs and even has her own. She has spent extra time explaining everything to me and I've genuinely never met a vet (even for my family dogs) that has the compassion and patience of Dr. Quan. She also will be realistic with you and not try to oversell any exams. By choice, I will ALWAYS bring my piggies to her. She truly cares about her patients' wellbeing, and is very understanding of how difficult it is for pet parents bringing their babies to her. Their office is also very responsive, professional, and friendly, and will answer calls instantly and have the doctor call back to answer any questions same day. If you are comparing vets, please do NOT take your pets to West Valley Pet Clinic. My experiences there were the exact opposite of my experience at this vet, and my late pets were severely traumatized by their experience there.

We were so nervous having to perform surgery for our dog, but your team made the experience less scary, armed us with all the info we needed to make the decision. everything went according to plan, even aftercare was easier than expected. And then - I was pleasantly surprised with how the actual price came to less than the quote. Thank you Dr.Ahmed and team!

They’ve taken such great care of my Mimi and Rocco! From performing surgeries to treating my dog’s skin condition, they’ve always been incredibly patient and kind, especially with my spoiled, needy pups. I truly appreciate the compassion and professionalism they show every visit.

When we had dogs 7 years ago, we were there all the time. So, after adopting a new shelter dog in February, we remembered the great care we received from Dr Quan and decided to return. Sadly this time was very different. We told her of issues with our new little guy eating cloth... Any cloth/carpet. We also mentioned the coupon from the shelter for a free vet visit; which they honored! Dr Quan was, as always, so very kind and gentle and HONEST. After X-rays she told us that there were two different areas where our new dog had a blockage (stomach and intestines). She told us about the 8k cost and the likelihood that this would happen again and again. We asked for her assessment.... whether he would be ok or not, along with the recuperation time etc. Dr also offered ways that might help us financially; until we made the very difficult and painful decision to say goodbye to our new boy. They set up the cremation and everything. All this so that you know that Glendale Small Animal is a fabulous place for your pet/pets. Dr Quan even spent her off time to listen to my concerns BEFORE we brought our dog in. She's aces!! Smart, caring and sincere.

Everyone at the Glendale Small Animal Hospital is truly exceptional. From the receptionists to the technicians to the doctors, every single person is kind, patient, and genuinely caring. You can feel that they not only love animals, but also deeply respect and support pet owners during stressful moments. Their team is incredibly knowledgeable and always takes the time to explain things clearly, never rushing you or making you feel dismissed. I’ve trusted them through some very emotional and urgent situations, and they consistently show compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail. I’m so grateful to have a team like this caring for my cats. I couldn’t recommend them more.

My family and I have been bringing our pets to Glendale small animal hospital for over 10 yrs. Service is second to none. Dr. Quan's knowledge and expertise is impressive. I would definately recommend.

Not only do they see your typical dogs and cats, but they also see exotics! I came here for one of my guinea pig's check up appointments. Appointments were available sooner and consultation fees didn't cost an arm and a leg compared to other exotic vets, which I appreciated. Everyone I spoke to, from front desk to the vet techs and the doctor, is super friendly. Dr. Navia has been my go-to vet for all my piggies. She is sweet, truly cares about her patients and their owners, and takes the time to explain everything and answer my questions. I'll be bringing my piggies to GSAH for future care and check ups.

Every interaction I have had from reception, techs and vets alike has always been top notch. Initially I went to GSAH for one of my roosters and as a result of such a caring experience, now take my dog there too. I strive to support independent/small businesses and GSAH makes it so easy to do that.
