I think I just found my new favorite cafe! From the very beginning, the service was top-notch, and the place stands out for being impeccably clean. Everything we ordered was made to perfection. We tried the chicken and buttermilk waffles and they were excellently cooked: the chicken was super crispy and the waffle was perfectly done. Additionally, the drinks were beautifully crafted with great attention to detail. I will definitely be returning very soon. 100% recommended!

We were very excited to try Barking Mad based on the reviews and how the website looked. We had high expectations for quality and experience. The outside is trendy and bright. The decor is nice- the restaurant is surprisingly huge. However, we were surprised to see a sign stating there was no table service option. That's not the impression I got from the website. (Please note we were there on a Friday morning) We were shouted out by an employee to come to the counter to make our order, so we proceeded to do so. We were then told to sit anywhere. As I mentioned, the restaurant is huge, so we sat at one of the many tables. As soon as our pre-made breakfast burritos were warmed up, our foil-wrapped food was plunked down. It was.. okay. Extremely bland. Edible. I hoped that my specialty cafe drink would be impressive. It wasn't. It was lukewarm and... fine. Not bad. Drinkable, but not great. Honestly, the level of food and drink was less tasty than Dunkin (that's not a compliment). We were then encouraged to bus our own table. The ambiance of this place does not match the food or service AT ALL. In fact, it's super confusing to me to have an enormous restaurant with no table service and below adequate food/drink. We will not be returning.

Excellent restaurant for dine in and take out. Visited multiple times for their specialty drinks to go but had a great lunch dine experience. The flatbread and steak and cheese were excellent and look just like the photos. Our server provided great service and look forward to coming back soon!

Very good service, great flavors and specially very reasonable prices. We came for brunch, recommend to make reservations, but there was space. Kids friendly.

Barking Mad, a delightful spot in Gaithersburg, offers a quick and satisfying breakfast experience. I opted for a cappuccino and classic American breakfast, and everything was simply delicious. The spacious and well-maintained ambiance adds to the overall pleasant atmosphere. We’ll definitely be returning to this gem. My suggestion for future visits is to expand their breakfast menu and offer more diverse options beyond the traditional fare.

Great spot for brunch! Just make sure to come early enough to enjoy the bottomless option since the last round is served at 2:30 PM. The service is excellent whether you’re seated inside or outside. The staff is friendly, attentive, and helps create a welcoming atmosphere. Bonus: it’s dog-friendly, making it a great spot to bring your pup along. Highly recommend!

The food was bad… Avocado toast- the guacamole was black and bitter. Definitely not fresh. Add on scrambled eggs- were not made from real eggs. French toast- bread was stale, the fruits were old and the Nutella was gooey and bitter. Huge disappointment, especially not for that price.
