Dr. William Reading at Lifestance Sugar Land is truly one of the most amazing doctors I have ever met. For the first time ever, I felt genuinely heard, understood, and cared for without feeling judged. He takes the time to truly listen to his patients and makes you feel safe, comfortable, and valued. What makes Dr. Reading stand out is not only his compassion, but also how incredibly knowledgeable and up to date he is on research, medications, and modern psychiatric care. He is genuinely brilliant at what he does. You can tell he truly cares about helping people improve their lives and mental health rather than just treating patients like another appointment. He is honestly God-sent, and I pray he is blessed with health, happiness, wealth, and everything his heart desires because doctors like him are rare. His kindness, intelligence, and dedication make such a huge difference in people’s lives. I’m beyond grateful to have found him, and I cannot recommend him enough.

Please beware that Lifestance will send false claims into your insurance company, have you pay copays then say they wasn’t paid, even if your bank statement and receipts prove they were paid. They cancel your appointments last minute while sitting in the virtual waiting room after you already paid and keep your money but charge you $100 if you call even an hour less than 48 to reschedule. The communication with the people in the office and billing are nonexistent! I used them for over a year and it has gotten worse with each passing visit! The only good thing they had going for them was Dr. Shakil and my therapist Raymond! Dr. Lemens was smart and left the company! Just wanted to warn you to watch your EOB from your insurance company and watch your bank account!

As always Mrs. Johnson greeted me with a smile. She allowed me to share my thoughts and concerns. Then she made a point to find a better treatment plan for me. As I leave I always check in with the receptionist. She is very kind and helpful. I’m very grateful for the care I received today at Life Stance Health.

Honey boo boo let me tell you! My Provider Linnea is absolutely up there as one the greatest. She is very understanding thorough and listens effectively. She do not push medication. She asked all the qualifying questions to meet me where I am. One of the greatest things in life is to be understood. Thank you for genuinely serving a community one life at a time. You absolutely make a difference!

Good first time experience with Dr. Barrios he was kind and listened thoroughly, although the staff on the front desk could be a little bit more friendly. They seemed a bit rude with their facial expressions. Esp in a place where people are coming to get their struggles discussed. A simple “hi, how are you, how may I help you” could be encouraged.

Dr. Fred is an excellent psychiatrist in my opinion. Easy to talk to, he is sharp with good suggestions and explains things like meds and treatment well. Office operations are very smooth and convenient in “normal” circumstances. For the off-nominal situations, billing is slightly frustrating, but it gets worked out. Calling billing doesn’t seem direct so contact and problem solving takes more effort than I’d like. Again, it does get worked out though. I recommend!

My husband had a debilitating stroke from a blood clot to the brain, causing the loss of his left side and some brain damage. Since being released from the hospital he's gotten a new phone and number for his phone. As a result, we give my phone number so I can screen all calls because dozens of scammers call his new number weekly. My husband was scheduled as a new patient for the Friendswood Lifestance for next month. I got a call as we were having dinner recently by Lifestance asking for my husband. I asked what it was about but she insisted on speaking to my husband saying "He IS an adult and I need to speak to HIM". I felt insulted and my blood pressure was rising. She insisted that he call in the morning as they were closing in 8 minutes. The next morning I called and had to hold for almost 40 minutes waiting to speak to someone. At this point my husband asked me to just cancel his appointment. When someone did answer, she was rude and argumentative with me. It turned out that they were seeing thet we have secondary insurance, which we don't. When I asked why couldn't the person who called last night clear that up with me, his wife of 36 years, her reply was "how would I know, I didn’t make the call last night". I canceled immediately and thanked my lucky stars. We clearly dodged a bullet! Follow-up to Lifestances' response to my review. Your generic, uncaring, ridiculous response is typical of a growing problem with Healthcare in this country. As mentioned in my review, my husband was scheduled for an appointment. You have all of our information and could have reached out to us concerning this problem. That you chose not to only confirms the lack of concern, and shows that your ratings on this venue are more important to you.

Thank you Dr. Darren for coming to my rescue for being the psychiatrist I definitely needed. I truly enjoyed our talk it gave me a peace of calm. Your staff is so helpful and friendly. I’m glad God found you for me. I highly recommend you!
