What a beautiful way to spend a day during any of the seasons! I had a wonderful time getting to experience the ways of most settlers in Fort Worth and around Texas. I learned so much from the candle maker( I got to dip my own candle which you can buy in the gift shop) one of the blacksmiths was giving a demonstration on how to make swirls (very impressive shout out to the professional swirl maker!) and there were so many other original buildings and demonstrations. Also, check out the gift shop there are incredible items in there that you absolutely can't miss!

Well worth the time and effort to visit. Admission price for adults is currently $7, which is fair. Numerous log cabins, each with a different theme. The blacksmith was closed on my visit, but you could still look look into the building. The kitchen was closed for repair, but they posted a sign with a photo so that you could see what you were missing. Beware the field trips, though. They do occupy the workers. We missed out on the spiel from the spinning/weaving cabin due to a field trip. We were asked to come back later,, but when we came back, there was nobody there. But we could still look inside. Very enjoyable. Thankful for good weather. There would be a lot of shade on a hot day though. We were there between one hour and 1 1/2 hours, and that was plenty of time to see everything.

Overall, I had a good time exploring the area especially going inside the buildings to see how Texans used to live life back in the pioneer era of the 19th century. Also seeing the candle-making demonstration was intriguing too. I noticed that the museum would sometimes give discounts of half-price admission of wearing purple on Fridays, but I don't think it's guaranteed but you should try it anyway if you happen to visit on a Friday.

Fun and educational. I was taken here as a child and I just took my two young daughters. They had a good time. We talked to the blacksmith and they got to dip candles. We also bought candles in the gift shop and were able to dip those at the candle station to take home. They loved the interactive cabin and the schoolhouse. Afterwards, we ate lunch in the park right in front of the cabins. Highly recommend. Fantastic value in a more expensive world.

We enjoyed our experience! We loved learning about the history, enjoyed speaking to the cast who knew all the history. Was a nice walking in a well shaded area. It was just my husband and I this time but we will definitely bring our kiddos next time.

I went to Log Cabin Village as a kid in elementary school, I've always wanted to go back and take my daughter who's 19. We finally went and it was awesome! Love the history and peace you feel there. Everyone was great and very informative. We will go back again.

Great experience if you’re interested in the past of early America. Kid friendly, nice atmosphere. Blacksmith took interest in my 10 year old grandson and ask him several questions about his shop.
