Crafty Crab Lauderhill

My family and I recently visited Crafty Crab, and unfortunately, this was the worst service we’ve ever received at a seafood restaurant. The food itself was decent. The Cajun seasoning had good flavor, and the gumbo was decent as well. However, the garlic butter lacked flavor and was disappointing. What completely ruined the experience was our server, Nate. From the moment we were seated, he wasn’t welcoming or friendly. He didn’t greet us, wasn’t attentive, and rarely checked on our table after bringing out our food. The restaurant was not busy there were very few customers so it was surprising to receive such inattentive service. After we finished eating, we had to ask someone to get Nate so we could receive our check because he never came back to our table. When he finally returned, there was no apology for the wait or any attempt to make the experience better. His attitude came across as passive-aggressive and rude, and he didn’t even end the interaction with a simple “Have a good day.” To make matters worse, the restaurant floors were not clean. The food was decent, but customer service is a huge part of the dining experience. Unfortunately, the poor service completely overshadowed the meal, and we won’t be returning.

I’ve been to this particular restaurant before but service was awful… This time our server (SASH) made us feel welcome with her beautiful smile and exceptional service. Very attentive… I promised to never come here again but my wife love her some crabs and insist we go and I truly was happy we did…

The food at Crafty Crab was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. We really enjoyed our meal and the overall atmosphere was inviting and relaxed. The only area that could use a little improvement was the service. We had to look for our server a few times to get refills and to follow up on an appetizer, but once attended to, everyone was friendly and accommodating. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we’ll definitely be coming back.

Well, let's see. The first time I ate there was in person. The waiter didn't put in my main order. Just the appetizer came out. My next order was to go, I had a boil and ordered some scallops. They never included them in my order, except they still charged me for them. If I saw "fresh seafood" one more time I was going to 😱. Nothing here is fresh. Seafood is all frozen, including the fried appetizers.

The service here is a joke. Once they drop off your food, they never come back to check on you and see how you are. It was kind of expensive also. The food itself was pretty decent but the lack of service was not decent at all. Doubt that we will be coming back

From the outside, it looked a little shady, but once we stepped inside, it was beautiful. Very homey and very nice lighting. Our waitress, Cynthia, was amazing and made us feel very welcomed and cozy. The food was delicious. I had the Valentines special, and everything was tasty. Definitely recommend for people who love seafood.

I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at this restaurant. Before driving from Pembroke Pines to Fort Lauderdale with my family, I called ahead to confirm if they were still open for dine-in. I was told yes. However, when we arrived at 11:26 PM as a party of five, we were immediately told that they were no longer accepting dine-in customers and were only offering takeout. This made no sense, especially since the restaurant closes at 12:00 AM and we were clearly still within operating hours. When I politely asked for clarification, the employee who identified himself as the manager (a gentleman with dreadlocks) responded in a sarcastic and unprofessional manner, even laughing during the interaction. This was extremely disrespectful. To make matters worse, another employee suggested that if we were hungry, we should “go to McDonald’s,” which was completely inappropriate and offensive. I requested to speak with the general manager, whose name I was told is Alex, but was denied the opportunity. The staff claimed he was unavailable, and it did not seem like any effort was made to contact him. We made a long drive specifically to dine here, only to be turned away despite being on time and ready to order. The lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and dismissive attitude from the staff were unacceptable and embarrassing in front of my family. I will not be returning to this location and cannot recommend it to others. This experience was extremely disappointing.

Definitely coming back to this place! I would give it a 5 but my bf's king crabs were overcooked some. Mine were 👌🏽👌🏽. We got the BOOM sauce, which mixes all three choices, and it was delicious! Linda was our waitress, very nice and attentive. The atmosphere was nice too. Over all it was worth the wait, because we did wait a while!
