Overall, we had a very positive experience living at Parker Towers for two years. We lived on the S line. The location is unbeatable, we really enjoyed the neighborhood and the easy commute into the city. We made many great memories there. The staff working at the property were always friendly, helpful, and fantastic to deal with. Of course, there were a few issues along the way, but the overall experience far outweighed the negatives. The annual rent increase was reasonable compared to other buildings we had lived in before. Thanks again!

The staff here truly goes above and beyond. Jerry and Francisco at the front desk are always going the extra mile for us. And Blanca! Blanca is phenomenal at whatever she is doing. Whether it’s cleaning the building or helping out at the front desk — she works her magic with a warm smile on her face. The staff is what makes this place feel like home. I’m so grateful for each and every one of them. Finally, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the building mechanics and staff like Alex and Preston. Not only do they tend to work orders in a timely manner, they always clean up and leave things as orderly as they were before they left.
There are definitely positives to living here, especially the staff who work directly with residents every day. The porters, maintenance team, and doormen are consistently excellent, professional, hardworking, and genuinely caring. They are easily the highlight of this property and often go above and beyond to help residents. The apartments themselves are also spacious, which is another major plus. Unfortunately, management significantly detracts from the overall experience. Communication is consistently poor, with concerns often going unanswered or addressed very late, and responses can feel dismissive or contradictory. There are also ongoing pest issues, including both roaches and rodents throughout the building, which continue to be a recurring concern. In addition, there is near-constant construction, including breezeway renovations, facade work, and updates to common areas like the dog park and playgrounds. This frequently makes balconies unusable due to noise and construction debris, yet there is never any acknowledgment, accommodation, or rent reduction despite the disruption. Another major issue is management’s failure to adequately address an ongoing nuisance neighbor situation that frequently requires police and security involvement. Residents should not have to repeatedly deal with that level of disturbance without meaningful intervention. Overall, while the frontline staff deserve a great deal of credit for their work, management and quality-of-life issues make this a frustrating place to live, especially when rent increases can reach upwards of $400 per month depending on the unit.
1-Star Review I lived in Parker Towers in Forest Hills and it was terrible. Everything about the building was inconvenient. No in-unit washer and dryer. All the dryers are usually full, and if not full they are broken and you find out after the load is done. It once took us 8 hours to do our laundry. The unit itself is completely outdated. The windows have extremely poor insulation so you can hear ambulances at 6 am from Queens Blvd. Management was unwilling to let us extend our lease — basically said 12 months that’s it and refused to work with us. Move-in and move-out was a nightmare. Both times a building manager or worker would grill me and get almost confrontational about being past the 3 hours. It takes a while to move in or out and we paid thousands of dollars for the movers, so how can they say we can’t fully move in? What are we supposed to do, leave our stuff on the side of the road? And finally they increase your rent every year by a lot to the point where we were paying $4,000 for a tiny one-bedroom with an outdated bathroom and no washer and dryer. That is ridiculous — you can mortgage a house for that or live in NYC or Long Island. We finally said enough and bought a house and we are so happy. I strongly recommend staying far away from this place. It’s a disaster and it will exhaust you and inconvenience you at every turn.
I feel it's important for me to give a shout-out to MS. STEPHANIE DIAZ from the Parker Towers Leasing Department for her honesty, professionalism, politeness and making the process to secure an apartment lease easy and even pleasant. Finding a good place to lay your head in NYC is time consuming and nerve wracking to say the least, but Ms. Diaz answered every question I had [and I had many] and she never appeared to be annoyed. Unfortunately, I've met some rude and down right nasty realtors/leasing agents during my home hunt, but Ms. Diaz gave me hope for my journey! Warm Regards, JW
Living at Parker Towers has been such a convenience for my life. Especially with maintenance, Michael always shows up when I call and he does such a great job helping me fix things. I never have to call twice for the same issue. And he's respectful too. Thank you Michael!
I have lived here for a few months now. Space is great. My room is extremely large, fits a king-size bed and 3 dressers, and still has plenty of space. I made my kids' room space-saving friendly, because at first I thought it was small, but I made it work. It gives a much larger feel now with a full-size bunk bed, 2 dressers, and plenty of room. The living room, foyer area, which I made into my dining area, is very spacious. I only wish I had one more closet, but it's ok, I made it work, still love it. My kitchen is lovely, just enough space, not too much, or too little. Everything is updated throughout my apartment. I do have a dishwasher, but I have not used it. I have been washing dishes for so long, I feel weird using it lol, so it's storage for dishes for now. I enjoy my apartment, and I love my view. Staff keep my building clean at all times. Concierge is always nice. We had two bad snowstorms, and they were on it. I watched a few people remove the snow from the crosswalk to get to the other side of the building extremely fast. Besides the fact that I am cleaning 24/7, my apartment is lovely. I don't have any rodent or bug issues, which I am grateful for living in NYC. I am waiting for the warmer weather so I can fully enjoy my view and time on my balcony. Laundry in the building operates 24/7, which is convenient, especially when using the app to see what's available. I can do laundry as early as I need to, or as late. There is a gym; I constantly forget to do the membership; but I will! Different events are posted in the elevators most times. It's cool to see the welcoming community engagement the management company has installed here. I have yet to partake in anything because I'm at work most days, but I have not seen this amount of community involvement with a management company ever. Noise complaints, I have read about on here, well its NYC. If you don't like noise.....well..... I have not had any issues with any outlandish noises. We are able to sleep, and that's all that matters to me. We are quiet, to ourselves. Noise during the day is not a problem for me. It's daytime, and people are living their lives. Convenience to transportation and stores, when needed, is a plus as well. Thank you for giving my family a home.
I have lived in Parker Towers for 7 years, hope to live here for a long time to come. Management does so many things to foster good community here as well as making sure our needs are addressed promptly. We have wonderful dog runs, places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Throughout the year there are a wide range of social events and celebrations for every walk of life. The staff is friendly, respectful and helpful. I highly recommend!
