The Arboretum at Flagstaff

The Arb is a great place to experience plants and birds of the Colorado Plateau. We always see a plethora of birds and enjoy walking both through the maintained areas as well as the nature trail. The location provides a great view of the San Francisco Peaks (especially magical if they have snow on them). Be aware that the last bit of road is maintained Forest Road (probably fine for cars) and The Arb is closed seasonally during snow.

Beautiful location, Mother's Day activities were special, bought some native plants. The place keeps growing.

the 2 mile unpaved path in was an experience but i absolutely loved this beautiful trail!!! very clean, quiet, and inexpensive for families! dog friendly is a huge plus!

Who writes about bad road has not seen really bad roads! It is quite possible to pass on a passenger car, 🚗 ! Beautiful view opens from the paths. There are covered pavilions. Benches in the shade. A good place to pass the time in Flagstaff

We made it in a hatchback. Just shook us up a little. Might be smoother in something bigger. Beautiful place, super mellow walking paths. I really enjoyed the flowers and like that you can buy plants here too.

I was not so amazed... I have been to the Arboretum of phx, which is much hotter and unhabitable place for many plants and flowers however its beautiful if visited in the right weather(I went in Dec)... Flag being such a beautiful weather place should have had more vegetation and flowers however it was nothing like that.. We had thot of spending at least half a day thr however came out of it within an hour. The 2stars are for the natural beauty of flag

Very helpful lady at the front desk who told us about the property. It's a cool place to wander around. We saw lots of hummingbirds and a super cute big bee. There was a stellar's Jay, and we enjoyed their sculptures, too. There was a baby duck jumping out of the water to catch bugs, and it made my heart so happy.

This arboretum is absolutely stunning. The views are amazing. Perfect for a day out with family. There are some active areas of play for kids. I highly suggest taking the 1 mile path. Take in the scenery as you walk around and capture some great photos with the family. I highly suggest visiting this location if you're in the area.
