Mesker Park Zoo

Took the High School Special Needs here. They had a blast. Food prices were a bit too much, $10 burger, $4 to add fries, $7 33.8 oz Smart Water. Gift shop prices were not too bad. It doesn't appear to that enough of the money they makes goes to lawn and weed maintenance or fixing little things like older signs. The exhibits are nice. A few were empty without a sign saying they were empty.

I was surprised how good the zoo is being in a small area but going in winter I wish they selected more animals that are OK in cold or had more indoor viewing. They definitely care for their animals. Enchanted forest and Amazon building were the best for seeing animals. Seemed like there were several new animals too. Enjoy that they have animal pics on the tables while eating.

I love visiting our little local zoo. They are always working to improve it, and if you ever take the time to talk to any of the keepers or docents, you can tell they all really care about the animals and the grounds. The plants are lovely as well, and I love to spend an afternoon just taking a leisurely stroll seeing what I can find to look at on that visit.

I first visited this Zoo more than 10yrs ago, it was great. We took 3 of our grandkids on Monday and were disappointed. Many of the enclosure/habitats were empty (no Tiger, Jaguar, camels and others that are advertised) and it seemed to be overdue for repair in many areas. I hope that this Zoo gets the attention it needs, so much potential to let it just waste away.

Wow! Staff was very friendly/helpful! So kid friendly! Extremely reasonably priced! So much to see (even with some animals hibernating) LOTS to do for all ages! Definitely will come again!

Most of the animals were out and my grandkids got to feed the giraffes. It was a beautiful day! They also serve beer now, for those of you who like to have a relaxing walk through the zoo. It's a great adventure for the whole family!

Great Zoo to visit! They have trams that can take you around or drop you off and pick you back up to see another exhibit. $2.50 for the whole day to ride the tram. Exhibits were outdated and some dilapidated, however there are a lot of different animals. Would like to plan A Midsummer trip to see what exhibits we did not get to see in may.

We love visiting the zoo! The exhibits are well maintained and the animals are taken great care of. All of the interactions we've had with staff has been amazing. They're willing to answer any questions and even offer extra information. My husband and I will definitely continue to come back!
