I truly cannot express how wonderful of a gem the Spot is. Bobby, vic and the entire staff operate on a level most business aspire to yet do not attain. The food is fantastic, hookah A+ but the service is what stands out the most. This a clear example of how management can permeate an environment. Thankyou Encino, Vybz Vybz Vybz!

I had a really disappointing experience at The Spot Hookah Lounge. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt off—nothing like the relaxed, welcoming vibe you’d expect from a hookah lounge. The place was poorly managed, and it showed in everything from the long wait times to the lack of attention from staff. The hookah itself was honestly below average. The flavor didn’t last, the setup seemed rushed, and I had to keep asking for basic things that should’ve already been taken care of. It felt like they didn’t care about the quality at all. What made the experience even worse was the owner’s attitude. Instead of being professional or trying to improve the situation, they came off as dismissive and uninterested in customer concerns. It’s frustrating to spend your time and money somewhere that clearly doesn’t value its customers. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a good hookah experience. There are much better lounges out there that actually care about their service and customers.
The Spot in Encino is one of those places you keep coming back to because it just works. The service is always great, and surprisingly, they have some of the best chicken koobideh I’ve had, especially if you like it spicy. If you ask, they’ll add heat to the koobideh, but honestly their spicy chicken koobideh is already the move. If you don’t want to do a full rice plate, I’d definitely recommend swapping in their Caesar salad, it’s actually really good and doesn’t feel like an afterthought. They also have the Persian Bugs Bunny (carrot juice with ice cream), which a lot of people love and is kind of a classic there. And of course, the hookah; my favorite is the Heisenberg, mainly because of the mint. They usually have sports or the Food Channel on during the day, and at night the vibe shifts; it almost feels like a nightclub. You always end up running into people you know. Solid food, good energy, and a fun place to hang out.
The service and staff were warm and welcoming, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. I ordered the Sultani kabobs—while the Koobideh lacked flavor and didn’t meet my expectations in terms of quality, the Barg was noticeably better and more enjoyable. The complimentary tea refills were a thoughtful touch, and the portion sizes were generous—easily enough for two people. Both the salad and rice were fresh and satisfying. It’s worth noting that many guests seemed to come primarily for the hookah and tea, which adds to the laid-back, social vibe of the place. The place is open until midnight and is busy at night.
The Spot is hands down my favorite hookah lounge. I come here every single day and there is always consistency in the service, food, atmosphere, music, and overall vibe. Whether it’s day or night, it’s my go-to place to work, relax, and spend quality time with my friends and family. The owner, manager, and the entire staff are truly amazing. They are so sweet, welcoming, and attentive, and they always go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. You can genuinely feel how much they care about what they do and about every person who walks through the door. They don’t just work here, they create an experience. The food is seriously incredible. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and always hits. You have to try the guacamole, it’s a must. And any of the kabobs are amazing, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and always cooked right. Whether you’re coming in for a full meal or just some bites with your hookah, you will not be disappointed. It’s also such a lively spot. Whether you’re coming for a night out, to hang with friends, or to watch a sports game, the energy is always on point. The music, the crowd, and the atmosphere make it the perfect place to unwind and have a good time. Out of every hookah lounge I’ve been to over the years and I’ve been to my fair share, this place is truly the best. The hookah is phenomenal, the attention to detail is unmatched, and the vibe is something you can’t find anywhere else. Come here if you want good food, good service, and a whole vibe!
The service is top notch here. They are very attentive with coals and water/tea refills. Hookah quality is solid. Haven't tried many of their food items but their appetizer plate was all frozen stuff, which tasted mid. THE BIGGEST UPSIDE HERE IS THAT RHEY ARE OPEN VERY LATE!!
I have been coming to The Spot for over 8 years and the food quality and service have stayed consistently excellent the whole time. It is still just as good as it was from day one. This is a super chill spot with great music playing and you can even request card games if you want to hang out longer. What really sets it apart is that they are open until 3am or even 5am on Fridays through Sundays. Perfect for late night cravings. Good food solid service and a fun vibe. You honestly cannot beat that.
