We came during Maryland Day celebration and really enjoyed our visit. We'll come back on another nice weather day and hopefully the plants will be back to their full beauty after the winter months. There were great activities for the kids (dress up area, blocks, sound garden) and the adults (museum, buildings to explore, and great volunteers describing the history).

Beautiful hidden historic gem at the end of a long street in Edgewater. The buildings are amazingly reconstructed to be exactly as it must have once looked centuries ago. The history here is palpable. The fact that archeological finds are still being pried from the earth is amazing. The gardens--well, wow! Who knew that camellias bloomed in winter!! Obviously, horticultural enthusiasts may, but not me. Well kept and continually being managed and improved by the in-house horiculturist. The whole place was a very pleasant surprise, and with my membership I plan to visit often. I can't wait to visit the gardens in spring --- I heard the daffodils are everywhere!! (More photos to come)

Went here on a field trip with my son. The guide was very knowledgeable and the kids had a great time while learning about life in the colonial time period.

Really nice place to visit with beautiful gardens and informative museum. You learn quite a bit about the area and how things have developed the culture and the economy. Definitely worth the time and plan about two hours. Parking is very easy.

This venue had all of our guests in awe with the incredible views & picturesque landscapes & gardens. Even better, the staff was professional and easy to work with. Kristin originally walked us through the property and helped us throughout our entire wedding planning process. You could tell she is passionate about her job, the property, and the couples that get married there. It was an easy yes for us. Throughout the planning process the venue made renovations we weren’t even expecting that made the property even more magical. If you are looking for a beautiful outdoor/waterfront venue that offers professionalism, ease of planning, great communication and genuine interactions, Historic London Town is your venue. We seriously couldn’t have asked for a better day and feel so lucky that we chose London Town for our special day!

What a gorgeous venue for a wedding! Historic London Town & Gardens is truly one of the prettiest event locations in the DMV. You can get married on a spacious lawn with a view of the South River behind you and then have your wedding portraits done in the lovely gardens surrounding the main building. As wedding photographers, we particularly liked the woodsy area down the hill from the open lawn area. The little "valley" at the bottom is an especially beautiful spot. It has the added bonus of being secluded, so you can get your portraits done in a relaxed and peaceful environment.

A hidden local historical site on the South River. Even if you hate history, go for the aesthetics! Free parking, pet friendly, cute little gift shop filled with local products and historical toys, there's also bathrooms.

Beautiful fragrant gardens when in season. A nice tour of William Brown house. Lots of historical information. A museum that contains archeological finds on the property. No reason to not spend some time here on a Beautiful day. Pick up a free ticket for a family of 4 at the Anne arundel county library (reserve, there's a wait list at times, though my wait time was only a could of days)
