Nice walking loop around the lake (about ~0.4–0.5 miles) — easy, paved, good for quick walks or jogging. Well-maintained & clean with open space. Fishing pond (Barth Pond) — popular for casual fishing Playgrounds (multiple) — good for families with kids. Plenty of parking + bathrooms available. Quiet, chill atmosphere — good for unwinding after work.

This is a beautiful park. Been coming here for a few years. It has a nice walking track around, great for a biking, jogging, dog walking or just a stroll. The history behind the name of the lake is interesting too. Lots of benches to sit and an absolutely phenomenal place for fishing. Practice catch and release please. It's stocked with bass, bluegill, walleye, carp and some chunky Catfish. There maybe more. The only downside is that there's dog poop almost everywhere. Another downside is there's no trash bin on the east side of the park by the parking lot(not the one with the swings) this makes people stuff their trash in the fishing line bin. Besides that this is a lovely place to visit with family or just for some alone time. Ample parking, toilets. Definitely recommended!

A great park for a family day out: there are barbecue areas where you can grill meat, and you can also take a stroll along the pond.

Very spacious park, with an asphalt walking trail, large pond to fish in, two separate entrances off 55th street, kids playground area. Real nice park to walk dogs, and it has several picnic benches. Found some pieces of trash, collected it up and disposed of

A quiet and nice park off 55th street in Downers Grove, this park has a huge pond with many wildlife including geese, mallards and ducks. There is a parking lot where you can park and a walking trail around the pond. The park is well kept, clean except for the bird droppings. There's also a catch and release fishing, benches all around where one can sit and enjoy the quiet.

We go here all the time. Peaceful on one side, playful on the other. Huge pond to walk around, very well maintained and beautiful
