Five stars all day for Gumbeaux’s, A Cajun Cafe. This place absolutely lived up to the hype. I had the seafood gumbo and a side salad, and honestly, the gumbo was probably the best I’ve ever had. Rich flavor, loaded with seafood, perfectly seasoned, and the kind of meal where you stop talking for a minute because everybody at the table is too busy eating. You know a Cajun restaurant is serious when the first bite makes you consider moving to Louisiana. Fantastic atmosphere, great service, and 100% worth getting off the interstate for. This wasn’t just “good for a highway stop” — this was legitimately outstanding food. I’ll definitely be back.

Right here, we have our own little taste of New Orleans! You have to time it just right to not have a wait. I usually sit at the bar when I can find a seat. It can be a bit noisy sometimes in the bar, there's about 10 seats at the bar and roughly 4 - 5 high tops. There are booths as well as tables in the main dining room. There's also an up stair bar and dining room. The bar is much bigger. I come here for the seafood mostly. On Tuesday they have a shrimp special, 20 for $14 served several different ways. Good Grief don't get me started on the oysters...always great however you get them, half shell, fried, baked (at least 4 different ways. It's a treat every time I go!

This Local restaurant never disappoints! The service is always friendly and attentive, the food is consistently delicious every single visit, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Highly recommend! One of my favorite dishes there ; yaya sesame salmon. Garlic , teriyaki sauce over it , hits the spot every time

Gumbeaux’s is the dining experience I didn’t know I needed - we arrived before they were open and there was a line stretched down the block. Once in line it moved quickly, and we were able to go to the bar & grab a beer while waiting for our table. Once we were seated we had crab cakes & popcorn shrimp as appetizers - both were delicious. The service was great & our server recommended the sesame salmon, which was absolutely delicious and so much food. I swear it came with several pounds of mashed potatoes. My husband had étouffée and enjoyed it. We would be happy to return on our next trip to the area.

1st time trying Cajun food. Absolutely delicious. Everything was great. I had the Tiger Bait Shrimp & The Brandon Po Boy. The shrimp was so flavorful & you could definitely taste the spicy honey remoulade sauce. Service was great & very attentive. Definitely will be back again.

In town for business. Gumbeaux’s was recommended by a local. So happy to visit a mom and pop style authentic Cajun cuisine restaurant! I couldn’t eat all the generous portions so I took it to go and dragged it all the way up to Saginaw Michigan via ✈️. My husband was very appreciative to get a taste!

We specifically requested a certain appetizer at the beginning of our meal but were brought a different one that was suggested to us instead. When we explained the mistake, we were told it could not be returned and would not be removed from our bill. That was very disappointing. My clam chowder was also served cold and was underwhelming. When I brought this to their attention, there was no attempt to remedy the situation. Unfortunately, due to the lack of accommodation and customer service, this will be our last visit. We’ll be taking our business to Gabe’s! It’s great to be a neighborhood staple, but not every customer is looking to complain — most of us simply want to enjoy a nice meal and feel heard when there’s an issue.

....I heard this place was very good and there is aways a wait...well I went last night..having ties to south Louisiana I can say this...nah cha! I had the catfish potato salad and dirty rice. My rice came out cold but the fish was hot. The SPICE was there but the food was bland if that makes sense. The fish was fried in a flour batter with minimal corn meal...I mean being outside Atlanta you would think the fish would be fried in corn meal. The dirty rice wasn't that great and the potato salad wasn't a traditional new orleans style potato salad. Im not sure what the hit item is on the menu but what I had wasn't it. I had to go back to work but ended up eating something else...if you have solid Louisiana taste buds dont get yourself hyped up for the food here. Gabe's in Villa Rica was much better!
