Hammond’s Candies

This was such a fun and unique find. The tours are free! We were greeted by friendly staff upon arrival. Then we got to do the tour. It was really an experience to see the candy being made by hand. They talked about how much they make, how they decide if candy is good enough or not. The time it takes to train some candy makers was impressive. After the tour they gave us goodies. Then the extra fun part of exploring the candy store with tons and tons of unique candies. Everywhere we went the staff were friendly and kind.

In Denver from PA for Transplant Games. Took side trip to Hammond’s which we had heard about. The free tour was very informative & it was nice to see how they make the candy & packing it. We received a large candy cane at conclusion. All the candy we bought has been very good esp the Holiday Humbugs…delicious but I do wish there was more spearmint flavor & also cinnamon could be stronger. Will definitely be buying Hammond’s in the future.

I definitely enjoyed the nice tour around this big facility, plenty of information and history behind the different kind of candies. All types of different machines and plenty of pictures and displays of different kinds of candy. The Hammond’s candy factory is definitely a place to check out with the kids.

We did the candy factory tour. Large parking lot and it has bathroom onsite. It starts with the video of the history of the brand along with some quizes and I thought it was fun. A separate person led us to the production site and spoke on the microphone about the process and what they were making the day. There are small stand for kids to see the factory in motion . There was monitor too if you prefer to stay back and just watch the live feed. Then we moved to packaging section. At the end, we all got a piece to take home free. The store also sells other regular candies and roasted peanuts as well. The whole tour took about 30 minutes.

With out-of-town guests in search of last-minute gifts, we decided to stop by the Hammond Candy Factory store. Though we didn’t have time for the tour, the visit was still an enjoyable and unique experience, even for those who aren’t avid candy lovers. The store truly offers something for everyone, from a vibrant jellybean wall and gourmet popcorn selections to an enticing chocolate counter. The bright, cheerful, and welcoming atmosphere made the visit all the more enjoyable. Despite arriving during the last hour of business, when staff were likely still recovering from the busy holiday season, we were greeted warmly and received friendly assistance at the jellybean wall and chocolate counter. Our guests were thrilled to find the specific Hammond candy they’d been searching for, and the trip was a success. It had been years since my last visit, and I was delighted to find the experience even better than I remembered. Hammond Candy Factory is now firmly on my list of must-visit spots for out-of-town guests—a fun indoor activity with the added bonus of delicious treats and a fascinating behind-the-scenes tour to explore next time.

Signed up for the free tour as my sisters were visiting for the week and it ended up being a fun quick experience especially since it was freezing cold outside. The tour itself is simple and, since we were there on a Saturday, there wasn't a lot of activity going on. The intro video was very interesting and informative and the tour guide was also knowledgeable. We spent the most time shopping in their retail store which was quite enjoyable. Who would have thought you could spend so much money on sugar? Staff was friendly and there quite a few tours going on. We were late for our tour but they easily fit us into the next one. If you need something fun and different to do recommend this, location is easy to find and there was plenty of parking (maybe bc it was so cold out).

Great tour of candy shop where everything is still made by hand. How active the factory is just depends on what they are making that day. Free hat and a sample at end. Was a little difficult to find and Google maps was no help.
