6/12/2026 Friday, my Company Crusoe Industries paid for employee tickets which was nice of them. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as it was in the 90s. We haven't been to the zoo in awhile since construction of areas. We enjoyed the long walks for 3 hours, however it may be helpful to place stenciled foot prints in a few different colors for location and shortcuts to animal areas. It was amazing and so incredible to see our beautiful animals as we all have our favorites. Maybe add several water misters and shaded areas for humans and all animals. There were a few drink areas closed w/o notice. One young guy had the sm garage door to the food stand almost closed and said, he couldn't make any Lemonade- maybe his job. Only bottled drinks to buy. We appreciate you and your staff!! I have several photos- here goes. Thank you so much Crusoe Industries!!🫡 Thank you, Rupman & Rocket

Great outing. I've been going to the Denver zoo for over 20 years. They are changing some exhibits/enclosures around, so expect a little change if you're used to the old layout. They allow you to bring food and drinks, just pickup after yourself! Binoculars are always a plus for viewing. They have fountains to refill water, so make sure you bring your own water bottle. Food and snacks are pricey, but it's to be expected honestly. Didn't really need our umbrella, they have lots of shady trees that help with the sunshine. Got to see lots of animals. Wasn't super packed, went on a Sunday.

A Special First Visit with an Unexpected Ending Rating: ★★★★☆ We recently visited the Denver Zoo for a very special family outing—our 6 month old grandson’s very first zoo visit! It was wonderful to share such an intimate and inspiring encounter with nature at a place that has been a Colorado cultural cornerstone for 130 years. The Highlights The 80-acre campus truly feels like an enchanting urban field station. Seeing some of the 2,500+ animals was a joy for the whole family, and we loved seeing the vibrant, colorful lanterns scattered throughout the zoo for the night visits. It added a magical touch to the afternoon, and it’s clear how much work goes into their mission of wildlife conservation and education. The Evacuation Our great afternoon took a stressful turn when a bomb threat was called in, and the entire zoo had to be evacuated. While we are incredibly thankful that no one was injured, the evacuation protocol felt a bit disjointed. As sirens began to wail and we noticed people heading for the gates, many of us assumed it was simply due to closing time. There didn't seem to be a clear sense of urgency or direct communication from the many law enforcement officers or zoo employees present. Better communication and more urgent protocols would definitely help in such a serious situation to ensure everyone understands the gravity of the exit. Final Thoughts Despite the chaotic ending, we still value the zoo’s dedication to saving wildlife for future generations. It’s a vital non-profit that we are happy to support, and we look forward to returning for a much calmer visit next time!

Amazing Zoo. Super friendly staff, lots of animals/exhibits, different events, different decorations and a nice selection of different foods. Also what's great about the food in the main restaurant area was the had glute free and dairy free buns with their really good burger. Shoutout to the staff and the women at the register(sorry forgetting your name) being super helpful with finding out if the bun was also dairy free. Definitely check it out. Really good burger for a decent price. Some other things. I went on a Saturday so it was definitely busy, lots of kids, but the Zoo is so big and well laid out it wasn't an issue. Due to hot weather & sun some of the animals were just chilling out, but still could take pictures and see them (mostly some are good at hiding (looking at you tigers) . Also plenty of all other creatures and animals to see and learn about. Only light negative still 5 stars though is some of the glass could better cleaned or more often. Though again the staff are fantastic. Atleast who I had had interactions with.

The Denver Zoo is a spectacular public Zoo to attend with family/friends since they have great animal displays (Ex: Stingrays, Giraffe, Elephants, etc.) that cater to kids petting the animals in their habitat. Also, the Zoo Food is high quality with a high caliber Zoo staff that addresses the customer needs. If you are in Denver I highly advise going to the Denver Zoo with your family/friends!

We have been to a lot of zoos. This was in our top five favorites. It was well laid out with a lot of vendors to stop and grab snacks and drinks at. Plenty of restrooms available. The animals on display were a good selection and variety. All the habitats were large, and the animals seemed well cared for. It’s a good size zoo so I would anticipate 3 to 4 hours minimum to get through it.

It was my first time visiting the zoo in Colorado. I had fun, but we lasted less than an hour because it was so hot. ): I plan on going back this fall when the weather is hopefully cooler. But I really enjoyed the animals, especially feeding the stingrays.

I LOVE THE DENVER ZOO! Bring your walking shoes! If you want to check EVERYthing out I would say give yourself at least 2 hours! I am a moderate walker and thats how long it will take me to do a full lap and check almost everything out. Bring water bottles, snacks food and drink is available but pricy. The bathrooms are nice and well kept. The membership is extremely worth it if you love the zoo and are local. The pass pays for itself with basically 2 visits, my husband and I got the "Zoo for Two" and will definitely renew it. Dont miss Stingray cove or the Aviary. There are alot of options to get up close and interact. I would hope to get anteaters in the future as I feel like its the only thing missing! There are great opportunities for kids to learn about animals and the zoo does alot for education and conservation. 🙏
