It was the most beautiful place I've seen I think. Such a cool place to explore and learn about the different plants and butterflies. Wheelchair accessible through the whole thing too. The butterfly exhibit was really beautiful and there were so many!! It's definitely a place we will go back too. Check out their website because they have a lot to offer!!

Great place to take your kids and grandkids. The gardens are lovely, and there are fountains, streams, goldfish, ponds, and trains. There's also a play area for the kids, and plenty of places to have a picnic. The highlight, though, is the butterfly aviary. It's multilevel with tropical plants and lots of colorful butterflies. They release new butterflies at noon, so there's a good chance one will land on you. There are also other exhibits showing different creatures like snakes and different kinds of bugs. There's a gift shop, clean restrooms, and the parking is close in and free. Entry fee is very reasonable and the staff is friendly, helpful, and great at teaching kids about what they're seeing.

This is such a thoughtful place to visit with your family. The butterfly sanctuary has birds hopping around. When you visit the garden trail outside, the squirrels and bees share the space too. The toddler play area is huge and I had scoop my son out of the sandwich. He didn't want to leave. I'll be returning soon before the weather gets too warm.

African Americans are not welcomed! Beautiful exhibits. I enjoyed the garden. Now to the matter at hand. This is a tour that is not friendly towards African Americans. As an educator, I’m deeply disappointed in the way I was treated. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to the Dallas Butterfly Museum. Unfortunately, the experience was marked by what I perceived to be unprofessional, discourteous, and discriminatory treatment from staff members. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a lack of hospitality. The staff member at the entrance was dismissive and made us feel as though we were not welcome. Later, while visiting the garden area near the train exhibit, an older male staff member approached us in a confrontational manner and questioned why we were in that area. He stated, “Why are you near this area?” and then remarked, “There are seven acres here—try walking those,” in a tone that was rude and unwelcoming. As we walked away, the same employee loudly stated, “I don’t see why their kind even visit.” We found this comment to be deeply offensive, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable. Such language has no place in a public attraction that serves a diverse community. The situation continued in the art gallery, where the same employee entered with a vacuum cleaner and abruptly announced that the area was closed because he was vacuuming. Although we complied and left the area, he continued to follow us throughout portions of the property, which made us feel uncomfortable and targeted. The overall customer service we received fell far below the standards one would expect from a public attraction. Visitors should be treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism regardless of their race or background. Instead, we left feeling unwelcome, disrespected, and deeply troubled by our experience. I hope management will thoroughly investigate this incident and take appropriate steps to ensure that all visitors are treated with dignity, respect, and fairness in the future.

Great park with activities and nature for everyone's tastes. The butterflies are neat, the reptiles are fun, and the playground area is awesome for kiddos. So clean and taken care of, too!

Peaceful and beautiful gardens. Amazing butterfly gardens. We came here to let our 7 year old experience the butterfly gardens for her birthday and we got a bonus xotol exhibit that she loved. It was a short trip so we werent able to experience the gardens in all their glory but from previous experience they are really pretty with lots of variety. There is also a pretty cool aquarium next door you can pair with the beautiful gardens.

What a great find! Beautiful gardens and lots to keep kids entertained. The butterfly house is magical -- I could have spent all day there watching the butterflies.

The local gem of a garden, all well maintained and well kept, with love and care. Bring kids to the butterfly garden or walk around. Keep hydrated as the Dulles heat is creeping up during the daytime.
