Very friendly people attend this church. I love pastor jeffress you're so kind and knowledgeable. Plenty of things to do there to learn about the Lord and get ready for the day that he comes for us 💕🙏🙏❤️💕

this is the first mega church that I’ve visited in Dallas. The service is amazing, and the campus is clean and nice. The people here are just amazing too. I love the college & career group, they’re so nice!!! I would love to come back when I’m here in Dallas. God is good!

Had the opportunity to visit with my family on Easter Sunday. It was a short walk from the hotel on a beautiful Resurrection day. The main entrance is stunning. Fountains choreographed to praise and worship music filled my eyes and ears. We took pictures, of course, in front of the fountains and made our way in to the service. If you are a first time visitor you will have no problem getting around. There are volunteers posted throughout to give you precise direction. Such a sweet spirit is in this place. We had came expecting, and from the opening of the Orchestra to the invitation we knew that the Holy Spirit was in this place. We took time after the service to walk around, through the old auditorium, and around the church. Thank you all for making our Easter Sunday a special one to remember.

This morning I visited First Baptist Downtown, solo dad with four children, ages 13 months through 12 years. We were traveling, and I intentionally brought my kids so my older ones, who are very musically inclined, could experience the orchestra and corporate worship in person. We sat exactly where we were directed, in the back right section designated for parents with children- near the exit in case we needed to step out. My 1-year-old was making soft baby cooing noises. Not crying. Not screaming. Not disrupting anyone. Just the normal sounds of a one-year-old existing. To be clear, if a child is screaming, crying, or truly disrupting the service that's different. I would not keep a genuinely disruptive child in the sanctuary, because I respect the worship experience of others. But soft baby coos are not disruption. They are life. And a church that cannot make room for life risks losing it. Mid-message, we were approached by Mark with security, who informed us that we would not be allowed to remain in the sanctuary because of the baby’s cooing. We were escorted out and directed to a small room with a television feed. No orchestra. No corporate worship. No shared atmosphere. Just a screen. If I wanted my children to watch church on TV, we would have stayed in our hotel room. Mark was not rude, but he was not warm either. And the decision itself speaks louder than demeanor. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14). It is worth asking honestly: would the first-century church, whose members walked with Christ Himself, have escorted a father and his children out of worship for baby coos? Families who bring young children into the sanctuary are investing in spiritual formation. Those small sounds are not distractions. They are signs of life, proof that the next generation is present. After leaving mid-service, we went to Clyde Warren Park. My children were welcomed there. No one treated their presence as an inconvenience. We enjoyed fellowship, and reflected together in a place that felt more open to families than the "sanctuary" we had just left. If this is official policy, church leadership should seriously reconsider it. Policies that elevate silence above presence will not protect a church’s future, they will empty it. The Church is meant to be the fellowship of believers, gathered together, worshiping together, and sharing the gospel across generations. It is supposed to be a place where families are formed in faith, not filtered out. If this is not official policy, then those representing your church need to better reflect the heart of Christ. We will not be returning. When a public park is more welcoming to children than the gathered Church, something has gone deeply wrong.

A huge church with several buildings and many ministries. This church does so much for people in Dallas and around the world. It is neat to see how the new architecture goes around and preserves the original building of the church. It has church services on Sunday at 9:15 and 10:50 am and disciplemaking groups at 5:30 pm as well as throughout the week.

Voted Dallas' best church for a reason. Worship service with our Pastor's message and the incomparable praise music from our choir and orchestra is simply the most inspired of Christian services.

First Baptist Dallas is a very engaging, friendly and loving church, with a excellent pastor and a world renowned Choir and Orchestra. Eventhough this is such a large church, because of the very friendly congregation, it has the feel of a intimate and "neighborhood" atmosphere.

It's a megachurch and not only did I not attend, I have not paid attention to any of the various current events that seem to be tilting mostly negative about the church. Instead, I was passing through Dallas and had the opportunity to appreciate this massive 19th century church. The historical marker reads, "First Baptist. Organized in 1868 and the first building on this was was a one-room frame structure, which members financed by weaving rugs, making hominy, preserves, and cheese to sell at fairs near Dallas, then a frontier town of 2500. Section of Victorian-style, red brick building was erected 1890; is only downtown Dallas church still on original site. George W. Truett, noted minister, was mastor here 47 years and was succeeded by W.A. Criswell, 1944." It is beyond an impressive structure and worth a visit, regardless of your support of the church.
