Absolutely amazing food. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the food. We went with our servers recommendations: the chicken fried steak and cornbeef and hash. SO GOOD! They also were very patient with our 17 month old daughter. Best part they had a small play area to keep her entertained while we waited and enjoyed out food.

From start to finish our experience was perfection. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My husband ordered the Spanish omelette and I ordered the big bad wet burrito with a fruit cup. The fruit was diced and fresh and the omelette was delicious and full of flavor.
I ordered the cajun skillet for myself and chicken and waffles for my girlfriend to go. Cajun skillet was not spicy at all unlike how its advertised, eggs were good, biscuit was probably the worst quality ive ever had. Tube walmart brand biscuits are far superior. Im pretty sure this one wasn't even cooked completely. The skillet was over seasoned with something that definitely was not cajun seasoning. Im a louisiana native born and raised in cajun country and this was not a good example of a cajun inspired breakfast dish. Service was great, the girl who cashed me out was pleasant and in good spirits. Food was served out fast and they looked pretty busy. I dont like how the tablet she handed me had a suggested tip of 20%. I never tip more than $1 the first time I spend money at a restaurant. If its good enough to go back a second time ill leave a large tip then. Chicken and waffles were good. Thats the only thing I might ever come back for. Probably not though.
Wise Cracks Cafe is quite the spot! After Morning Service Country Fried Steak is what my cravings were asking for. 😇 My girl has been craving chicken and waffles and that lead us to This nice Hometown Cafe! Watch video for more Info!!! 😊
Decided to try WiseCracks for brunch on Sunday. I had not been to the old Burtons for years and I had heard they renovated the building. I loved the quirky decor and it was very inviting. We did not have to wait long for a table. Our server was friendly and was at our table in a timely manner. The coffee was served in a fun mug and was great. The menu has a wide selection. There is vegetarian and spicy options. The food was delicious and plated wonderfully in bright Feista Ware. We also tried the mimosas flight, which was plenty for two. Their prices are in line with other farm to fork diners. The grandmother's strawberry jam tasted like 1960's had just called my name. Definitely a wonderful place to relax and enjoy abote to eat.
I love posting good food reviews to new places I tried, but this place was disappointing. We were seated right away and food came out super quick.. I’m talking in less than 5 minutes. The omelette was actually decent and enjoyable, but the chicken and waffles was one of the worst things I’ve ever had . For starters the there was no flavor to the waffle or the chicken for that matter, was completely over battered, and to top it all off, the chicken was not even cooked through all the way and my last bite was straight up raw. Was disappointed as I had heard great things about this place.
The service was fantastic and this was honestly the best egg Benedict dish I’ve ever had, would most definitely come back just for this particular meal again!
Food was great service was fast and efficient cheap menu best breakfast made to satisfaction.
