I planned to go here in December 2020 and we hit the second wave of the pandemy. I recreated the trip with my friend and I was impressed. As a traveler.. things I should have looked more into.. packing my own robe or having a beach bag for sunscreen and other things. Many services are à la cart.. like cabanas and pool chairs and with 3 people that didn’t meet our interests. I booked the grotto special mudbath and then we just walked around to different pools and springs. You definitely could spend a whole day here, but if you do, it may be beneficial to have a home base. All the staff was friendly and welcoming. There was more than enough towels to move throughout. We had lunch at the bistro and it was delicious and there was also a cute tropical drink shop that could make frozen drinks or sell them in the rocs. You can people watch and relax if needed.!i would feel comfortable going solo, but would need a designated spot

I would have loved to give 5 star review. Im only doing this because folks be prepared. Although we enjoyed ourselves there are "issues" and because of how we were greeted and checked in at the front and the experience at the end of the day I needed to do this review. It's called hospitality yet the Gal who checked us in had no clue that was part of her job and sad because my friend and I were so looking forward to the experience. She was rude cold and absolutely not helpful. I came with a friend who does not navigate the computer well. Instead of just kindly helping her along we got attitude the girl was so annoyed and unfriendly. I normally don't want to cause a scene but wow she was very lucky I remained poised. Glen Ivy really needs to re-train their people because some folks do struggle navigating the computer for waivers etc. Glen Ivy although we enjoyed the pools this was like moving cattle......they way over book this place it's not "serene" but regardless enjoyable just be prepared you may have to go to another pool in order to get a lounge chair. Restaurant was great smoothie bar great. Property very pretty. Facial was excellent massage - didn't do procedure as requested but nice overall. At closing as we decided to get our services end of day FORGET being able to calmly and casually take a shower do your hair and makeup - it was so over packed that at closing you could barely stand and change your clothes unreal. I really enjoyed my time but over crowding is no joke and folks this was on a Tuesday during the week June 26'

I had an absolutely incredible experience celebrating my best friend’s birthday at Glen Ivy Hot Springs. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Even though there was a long wait time when booking by phone, the staff member who eventually assisted us was kind, patient, and very respectful, which set a positive tone before we even arrived. Once we got there, the hospitality continued to impress us. Connor, who hosted us at our cabana, was outstanding. He was attentive, professional, and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of throughout the day. The cabana experience itself was relaxing, well-maintained, and added a really special touch to our visit. The food and drinks were great, and the entire property was clean, peaceful, and well-run. We loved being able to enjoy the grotto, mud bath, mineral pools, and hot tubs at our own pace. It was the perfect balance of relaxation and celebration. To end the day, we had massages with Shannon and Gracie, and they were both phenomenal. They created a calm, respectful, and positive space and truly helped us end the experience feeling refreshed and restored. Overall, everything felt organized, welcoming, and worth every bit of the experience. I would highly recommend Glen Ivy Hot Springs for anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality spa day. It’s absolutely worth it.

I was genuinely disappointed by my experience here. Overall, the facility felt mediocre, poorly maintained, and lacking in hospitality. The first thing that stood out was the staff. Their interactions felt unprofessional, almost like a group of teenagers at summer camp. Several employees were gathered in corners on their phones, and communication between staff seemed disorganized. Unfortunately, that translated into the guest experience. Erin at the front desk was especially rushed and came across as unkind, which didn’t make for a welcoming first impression. We booked the grotto experience, and it was far from relaxing. The cave never became very warm, and the floors and surfaces felt slimy and uncomfortable seating. At one point, guests were talking and a staff member entered the room and loudly scolded everyone to be quiet. It was awkward and jarring, there are much more professional ways to make announcements in a spa setting. The application of the mineral paste also felt rough rather than calming. I had to ask the man if I could have a woman instead and that was better. This first of the cave also smelled like bad body odor. The refreshments afterward were also underwhelming. The “tea and apples” included consisted of grocery store tea served in a paper cup and only Luke warm water and whole, uncut apples in another cold room with uncomfortable seating and artificial plants. It didn’t feel like a spa experience. The biggest issue, however, was the cleanliness. The bathrooms and pool areas felt worn down and had an unpleasant smell. Honestly, they reminded me more of a neglected 24-hour gym than a spa. The one bright spot was Lina, my massage therapist. She was warm, professional, and gave an excellent massage. After reading some reviews mentioning disappointing massages, I was relieved to have such a positive experience with her. She truly saved the day. I came with a large gift card, but after this experience I ended up giving the remaining balance to another guest because I had no interest in returning. Even if someone else paid for another visit, wouldn’t come back. I also noticed they’re encouraging guests to vote for them as one of USA Today’s Best Hot Springs. Based on my experience, I genuinely don’t understand how they’re being considered.

My daughter and I visited Glen Ivy to celebrate her birthday, Mother’s Day, and my upcoming birthday, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing overall. The check-in process was confusing and disorganized, especially for guests with scheduled appointments. We were worried about missing our hydro massage because there was no clear direction for guests with reserved services. The hydro massage itself was frustrating because, as a first-time user, I did not receive enough instruction on how to properly use the machine. Instead of relaxing, I spent most of the session trying to adjust uncomfortable settings, which made the experience feel like a waste of money. We also experienced very long wait times for food. Later, while in the mud bath area, another guest became upset after I accidentally stepped near her camera tripod while she was filming. She called me “pendeja,” which was very disrespectful and upsetting. That interaction ultimately led us to leave early because I did not want the rest of the day with my daughter to be ruined. On a positive note, I did enjoy my first yoga class in the Secret Garden. However, overall the visit did not feel relaxing or enjoyable. I hope Glen Ivy improves communication, guest assistance, food service efficiency, and policies regarding filming equipment in shared relaxation spaces.

My first time this past Thursday, did the basic pedicure and it was a really nice experience. There was a good amount of people probably because it summer break so I was glad we got there early to secure chairs by the pool . There is a cafe that serves Starbucks products just keep in mind they add 10 percent on to your total for the workers which does not count as their tip . The Ivy cafe food was tasty , I had a burger and it was nice and juicy . Definitely would love to come back during the slower months .

Prior to Covid this was a wonderful place to go to and relax. After Covid, this place has become an adult theme park. The lounging pools are filthy. People constantly spray their sun products while in the pools creating a thick layer of oils in the pools. A spa should be relaxing and serene, but this place is loud white people blasting their music on loud. If you want to get into their mineral pools, you have to wait in line. They have 4 small pools that fit 2 people each and limit it to 30 minutes. I can’t get over how dirty the pools are. It was so grimy. I used to really enjoy this place, but now I’m saddened at how packed and dirty this place is. And believe all the other comments, you are packed like sardines. Their shampoos, conditioners and body wash used to be top tier, now it’s worse than cheap shampoo and conditioner from dollar tree.

Best staycation day—hands down. A must if you have a day to truly unwind. Book a day pass and definitely schedule a Grotto service toward the end of your visit—it’s the perfect way to finish. Arrive early and stay late so you can take full advantage of all the pools and amenities. Start with Mud Club to exfoliate your skin, then head into the Grotto for the ultimate hydration experience. If you’re going with a friend or partner, take turns giving each other a light massage in the warm cave—it adds such a relaxing, personal touch. You’ll leave glowing—with a sun-kissed tan, deeply hydrated, and your skin feeling toned, soft, and refreshed. Truly a reset for both body and mind.
