McKenzie's Barbeque & Burgers Conroe

I got the BBQ Mac Bowl with the chopped brisket. It was really good. The mix of brisket and Mac and cheese tasted nice. The brisket was a little dry for my taste but overall good. The service was also great and very willing to offer recommendations. The atmosphere is such a fun country vibe/mood that ties everything together. The banana pudding was actually so good. It was whipped and has such nice and fluffy texture. I would definitely recommend to try the pudding.

Came to try the brisket and loved the pork ribs even more. The dry rub was fantastic on the pork ribs. brisket was great and the turkey and according to my employee he had a great burger. Just prefers it to be cooked a bit on the medium.

Great experience. I ordered the 2 meat plate with ribs, chicken, pinto beans, and baked potato casserole. The pinto beans and ribs are my two favorite items on the menu so I pretty much always order them. They did not disappoint! The the beans were swimming in a thick, savory juice you can only get from hours of slow cooking. The ribs were seasoned perfectly and falling off the bone. My toothless granddaddy would have thoroughly enjoyed them. Customer service is great as well. I had my food delivered but drove to the location after I received my order because I thought I had been given turkey instead of chicken. I am extremely allergic to turkey so I usually order thighs so I can tell the difference. I was informed it was sliced chicken breast and also advised how to order next time to ensure I received my preferred choice. It was quite comical actually because I just knew I was about to be taken out by that turkey! 🙃 Altogether a great experience (as usual).

Consistently good BBQ. Good prices and good service. I usually get the 2 meat plate with ribs and brisket, the brisket sandwich. (Half lean/half marbled) or the turkey sandwich. When people from Houston or out of town come to visit and they request BBQ, this is where I taken’em. This one is highly recommended.

Love this place. The fried okra is awesome. When you get the brisket plate they go a little easy on the portion. But great atmosphere and great employees. Rustic feeling and the place smells great. They have my favorite kind ok coke machines with more flavors than you can count. They have a location in Montgomery that is also off the chain. Thanks McKenzies!!!

I love everything about this place!!! I only wish they had one up in Pennsylvania!! We definitely will be back when we're in the Conroe area!!

I got the bbq grilled cheese sandwich with chopped brisket and pepper jack cheese. If was tremendous. I got the ribs the previous time here. They were also good, but I’d pick the grilled cheese over the ribs. BBQ sauce and free jalapeño corn bread are also very good. It’s a great bbq place in Conroe. Plenty of room for a group.

What a great place with great options for a good American 🇺🇸 breakfast . Staff were awesome and super friendly. Highly recommended.
