Sangria 71

This place is really fantastic. Food is top notch. Waiters and servers are very friendly and answer all your questions. I happen to go on a Thursday and there was singing which definitely added to the atmosphere and made the experience even better. They said there is live music on Wednesday and Thursday. I recommend their stuffed shrimp and their chicken. Sangria was great and made correctly. Anything you get on the menu is really good. Save room for dessert especially their Tres Leche.

The only thing I disagree with is that on my last visit, the manager started yelling at the staff in front of the client and it was very unpleasant with me talking to me in a very heavy way. I think there are days that have stress at work but that does not allow anyone to mistreat the client and staff of an establishment. The good thing is that we had good waiters like Teresa and Javier who helped us forget the hard time we had with the manager

My boyfriend and I went to Sangria 71 to celebrate Valentine’s Day yesterday and although it was packed and we had to wait like 30 minutes to be seated, we still had a lovely time there. The waiter, Javier was nice and polite and offered a good service. Food came out fast considering it was Valentine’s Day and everything tasted delicious.

I came back to N.Y. to come visit my sister and cousin. I wanted to be sure where we went to eat, had blue point oysters, as I can’t get them where I live now, in Texas. It was my first time here at Sangria 71, in Commack, we walked in and were greeted immediately by the hostesses. After being seated, our server Jorge, welcomed us in a very pleasant professional manner. We ordered our cocktails and several appetizers to share, and I of course, ordered a dozen of the blue point oysters raw. The food came rather quickly, and everything looked quite delightfull. The oysters were delicious, the shrimp with garlic, was absolutely amazing. The asparagus baked in manchego cheese, was mouth watering! We also shared the filet appetizer, with mushrooms, and that was outstanding!!! My sister and cousin shared the fried calamari, which I couldn’t have, due to it being fried where two menu items containing nuts, are also cooked there. I would like to especially add, that after informing our server Jorge, that I had a nut allergy to all nuts, he immediately went to kitchen, to be sure none of my food contained nuts, and to also be sure nothing was cross contaminated, with my food! I was extremely grateful he double checked, as this could be a problem for me. Then the manager Gaspar, came over to also reassure me of food ingredients, and that they would be careful. This is a huge plus for me, when an establishment goes above and beyond, to be sure I will be safe consuming their food! All of the food we ate, had great flavor, and was completely amazing. I think I inhaled it, because it tasted so delicious!!! We then ordered our deserts!! Wow… the crème brûlée I had was to die for! My sister also had that and my cousin had the churros with the chocolate sauce, which was also simply amazing, full of flavor! We finished the night with RumChata shots compliments of Gaspar. Our visit overall, this evening was just perfect!!! If you haven’t tried this place yet, I highly recommend it!!! Jorge our server deserves more than 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ taking exceptional care of us all evening. This place will not disappoint!!!! Interesting place with decent food and nice atmosphere, Live music / karaoke stile but good voice and not too loud to bother. The service provided by Kevin and team was good. I’d recommend the place

I highly recommend this restaurant because the service and food are AMAZING! Our server Isabella was the best we have ever had. She was extremely polite and very knowledgeable about the menu and drink choices. It was my daughter’s birthday and she brought out a birthday cake without even asking for it. Isabella was very attentive and made sure everyone was happy with their meal. I will definitely come back just because of her!

Sangria 71 is always a fun time! The atmosphere is energetic, the music sets the perfect vibe, and the bartenders are fantastic. The drinks were absolutely delicious, and the appetizers were just as impressive—fresh, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. One of the things I love most is the entertainment when it's available. It adds an extra layer of fun and makes for a great night out with friends or a date night. Great drinks, tasty food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere—what more could you ask for? Highly recommend checking it out!

Came here to celebrate a birthday, we had a party of 7 for lunch on a Sunday, and we were accommodated very nicely. Lots of parking, and the fantastic decor lent a very warm atmosphere. The food, the wine, the service, it was all great. Servers hovered but weren't overbearing, food came out in a timely fashion and were very well prepared. Standouts were the octopus, lamb chops and paella.
