Lakeside Village Apartments

Here’s my most honest review of Lakeside Village Apartments: My boyfriend and I moved in August of 2025, the application process was handled well and they got back to us in a few days of when we submitted our application. Our move in date is where the madness began. We walked into our apartment (yes WE) nobody came out to do a final walkthrough of the apartment, red flag #1. When we walked into the apartment it absolutely reeked of a bad odor that made us gag. It wasn’t one room, the smell was throughout the entire apartment. So we started doing a walkthrough for ourselves to make sure nothing was broken or damaged that wasn’t caused from us. Let me tell you there were multiple issues upon the walkthrough. Cracked bedroom window, light fixtures not tightened properly, wall trim outside of the door was all busted up, the list goes on and on. No big deal right? A few months of living there I had my water shut off multiple times for emergency repair work in the building, understandable but it was at least a handful of times by the end of 2025. Not to mention my hot water pressure is non existent some days. There was one time my water was shut off with no notice. I called the leasing office and was told “we don’t need to give out a notice for a short shutoff of water.” It ended up being a hour without water. They apparently have a policy where residents can’t have floor mats outside of their door, I got an email one day. No worries problem solved. About a month after that someone moves in on the left side of me and they have a floor mats outside of their door. Hmmm I thought we weren’t allowed to have those. Well it appears the tenant who lives there works for the landlord and it gives them the “ok” to have one.

I absolutely love living at Lakeside Village Apartments! The community is beautiful, well-maintained, and feels like home. A special shoutout to Julie, the property manager, who goes above and beyond for residents. She is professional, friendly, responsive, and truly cares about making sure everyone has a great experience. Julie’s dedication and exceptional customer service make all the difference. Highly recommend Lakeside Village Apartments!

The worst. I was told I got an "upgraded unit" when I moved in. The first shower I took my faucet flew off because it wasn't put on properly. I can't bring water to a boil on my stove. My dishwasher backs up with dirty water constantly. My toilet takes a few flushes for it to actually flush everything. There's been multiple car breaks ins but they're worried about people doing their laundry outside of the hours of 9-9. Doing laundry at 7am because you need clothes for your 13 hour shift? Expect a notice on your door by the time you get home. Forget people's things being stolen from their cars in our parking lot, they have real priorities. They try to do all of this work to the outside so it appears nice but these apartments are barely put together. Absolutely hate it here.

This is my fifth year living here, and I would not recommend living here. Maintenance concerns are not addressed with any sense of care or urgency, and this issue has continued to worsen over the years. I pay a few hundred dollars more a month for a unit with a washer and dryer, which is all good and well, but I haven’t had a working washing machine in three weeks. No discount on my rent or any other accommodation was offered and I have spent a considerable amount of money to wash my clothes at a laundromat. Office will either not answer the phone, or tell you they will call you back with an update but never actually do. This is just one type of maintenance issue I’ve experienced among countless other things like water leaking through my ceilings, bug infestations, etc. For how much they charge and how much they raise your rent each year, it is very disappointing the lack of basic decency and professionalism towards residents. If you value the appliances you are paying for working and your maintenance issues being addressed in a timely manner, I would not recommend living here!

My husband and I stayed here for an extended period, and without exaggeration, it was the worst place I’ve ever experienced. The building constantly reeked of weed, which management clearly has no control over, and both the common areas and the apartment itself were infested with bugs—something that should never be tolerated in any livable space. To make matters worse, despite explicitly requesting no maintenance entry, staff still entered twice without permission. That level of disregard for basic boundaries is not just unprofessional—it’s unacceptable. Overall, this place reflects a complete lack of responsibility and care. If you value cleanliness, privacy, or even a basic sense of safety, this is somewhere you should absolutely avoid.

Had a really nice tour with Starr! They were just having an internet outage when we toured so it took a little longer than usual. But Starr took her time with us and answered all our questions. She was funny and helpful!

I’ve lived in many different apartment complexes in multiple states and this is by far the best experience. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, on point and helpful. Special thanks to maintenance man Carl who got my AC back up and running this week on short notice. You rock!

If you are looking for a safe,quiet, well maintained apartment do not apply here ! I’ve been in a unit almost a whole year and the heat /ac unit has been broke THE ENTIRE TIME, the cabinets are loose and broke dishwasher barely works and they intentionally move people with families and kids all together so your forced to hear running and playing ALL DAY to the point your apartment will start shaking also if u don’t get your package within 5 minutes someone will steal it almost guaranteed Not to mention someone just got KILLED in these apartments DO NOT MOVE HERE
