Service was phenomenal Miguel was the salesman who helped me and he was amazing I’m glad I chose to come here because I was looking for a sports car for a little while he educated me a lot on my car he was very respectful&helpful. I stopped by a few dealerships who weren’t very helpful. I left with my brand new 2026 Honda Prelude;) I highly recommend I’m happy with my decision

I truly wasn’t very excited looking for a vehicle as I love my car But unfortunately, it broke down. I needed to get a new one… They honestly made it as easy as could be stayed extremely late just to help me close a deal and worked with me in every way that they could. The team at Honda honestly made the whole process very easy Ricky especially made it extremely easy to buy my first vehicle after 10 years. 1/5 stars — Disappointed Returning Customer I came back to this dealership hoping for the same good experience I had before, but left completely let down. What started as an exciting car purchase turned into a frustrating waste of time. It began with a phone call assuring us the vehicle would be there within the hour — so we made the drive out based on that promise. The car was never there. Instead of being upfront with us, they had us sit down and begin negotiating on a vehicle they couldn’t even confirm they could deliver. They actually wanted us to sign paperwork before we knew whether the car would show up at all. That’s not how you treat customers. The finance department was another issue entirely. They refused to compete with our Navy Federal rate and became increasingly aggressive when we pushed back. If you don’t firmly put your foot down, they will argue with you and try to wear you down — which is an incredibly uncomfortable experience, especially when you’ve already been misled just to get through the door. At the end of the day, we wasted a trip, wasted hours of our time, and walked away with nothing — all because of false promises made to get us in the building. I understand that sales is a competitive business, but misleading customers is never acceptable, and it’s especially disappointing coming back as a returning customer who already trusted this dealership. I won’t be returning, and I’d caution others to get every promise in writing before making the drive.

From the start, it was clear they had a hot car in high demand, which led to some hurdles and extended negotiations. There were moments of frustration, but I have to give credit where it’s due: once we got past those initial challenges, Marshall, Kobe, and Jeff stepped up, communicated clearly, and worked hard to make things right. They handled the details efficiently, got me into the car I wanted at a fair deal, and turned what started as a stressful experience into a smooth one. The car itself is an absolute beast—exactly what I hoped for in a Type R. Huge thanks to Marshall, Kobe, Jeff, and everyone else involved for their persistence and professionalism in the end. If you’re in the market for a Honda (especially something special like the Type R), Chula Vista Honda is worth a visit. They showed they stand behind their customers when it counts. Highly recommend!
