Sweet Moon

This is hands down one of the best cafés we’ve ever visited in Chicago. We completely fell in love with this place! The food is absolutely incredible — the syrniki with mango sauce were out of this world, and the salmon breakfasts were amazing. Everything we ordered was fresh, beautifully prepared, and genuinely delicious. After our first visit, we decided this would be our daily breakfast spot for the rest of our stay in Chicago. We’re honestly sad to be leaving because we’ll definitely miss this place. The service is outstanding, and everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this café and wish the entire team continued success. Thank you for making our mornings so special!

We found this place through reviews. It wasn’t very convenient for us to get there, but in the end my husband and I decided to go — and we were honestly surprised by how much we loved it. The place is bright, clean, and so cozy. It feels like a real hidden gem, not just a café. We had a wonderful and delicious breakfast — you can immediately tell that every dish is made with care and love. It’s truly refreshing to find places like this in Chicago. My new favorite breakfast dish is the syrniki with mango sauce. Thank you for such a lovely discovery!

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Still making my way through the menu, but everything I’ve had has so much flavor in it, and it’s all so beautiful to look at. The meringue has me spell-bound. Highly recommend. Give the wonderful front of house staff your cash and beg them to pick out some treats for you. You will be thrilled. Telling everyone I know about this magical place. I have only eaten the dessert but judging by from my table to someone else’s orders I can tell they look so appetizing. I have tried a few items today I am posting what is SO SO amazingly beautiful and yummy. I can tell you is so satisfying and not overwhelmingly sweet, it’s velvety and puffy with the right amount of toasted almonds not overpowering the pistacho spread. You must try it!

As someone who’s always exploring local spots around the neighborhood, Sweet Moon is one I keep coming back to. I’ve been a few times now, including with my daughters, and it’s always a great experience. The pastries and desserts are fresh and delicious, the coffee is excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. It’s perfect for a quick coffee, a client meet-up, or a relaxed stop with family. Definitely one of my favorite Ravenswood spots.

The breakfast platter, pistachio latte and Macy’s latte was good. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere was chill and quiet. They play calm/chill music which is good for a study session or reading a book or using your laptop. Overall a good coffee breakfast/brunch spot.

This place is imo the best pastry shop in Chicago, and we’ve been to Del Sur, Fat Peach, Gennevieve, etc. The honey cake was soooo good and not sweet at all. Choux, burrata danish, meringue were all amazing as well. The coffee was good, and the only thing we were not really a fan of was the syrniki. But the other items are just too good, will definitely come back to try all their collection
