The staff were kind, efficient and helpful. I had my 1 year old cat spayed this Tuesday. She came home in perfect condition and with pain medication for $180. There's is a process that you must complete prior to the appointment but it is not difficult to follow at all.

Amazing place for low cost services and such nice and friendly staff. Your services are essential for this community thank you so much.

IF YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME BEING STRUNG ALONG, IGNORED AND REJECTED BY RUDE, LYING EMPLOYEES GO TO PAWS CHICAGO! I feed stray cats and of course one of them got pregnant. I brought her inside and took care of mom and her two kittens but I could not keep them became I already have 5 other furbabies that mom didn't get along with. I knew mom had to nurse atleast 3mths so in the meantime I called 10-15 no kill shelters desperately trying to surrender this sweet cat family. I'd used Paws Chicago spay/neuter program years ago so was familiar with their services. I was not a fan of the their cold/distant/nonchalant employees but I tried to ignore it for the greater good of the furbabies. They NEVER answer the phone so I communicated via email for a month trying to organize the drop-off. Even years later, I encountered the same type of employees. They initially pretended like they would help this cat family but that suddenly downgraded to "moms not adoptive, only wanted her kids". FINE! Even human babies in foster care are more desirable than older kids. So I tried to make an appt for surrendering the kittens. SILENCE. I tried a 3rd time WHY!!! CALL ME CRAZY I APPLIED TWICE TO BE A CAT COLONY CARETAKER WITH PAWS AND NEVER HEARD BACK. Then I get an email "We will not offer a timeframe for drop-off" W Y L I E ,YET YOUR LITTLE VILLAGE LOCATION IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC WITHOUT AN APPT WHICH YOU WONT GIVE ME. So basically NOW you don't even want the kitten but your staff is either too stupid or patronizing to just say that. THANKS FOR WASTING MONTHS OF MY TIME THAT COULD HAVE BEEN USED ON A BUSINESS WITH DECENT STAFF WHO SAY WHAT THEY MEAN AND HONOR WHAT THEY AGREE TO DO!

Dropped and picked up a feral and the staff working 5/7 was awful. The other patients were complaining as well. They don’t greet you! Or guide you with anything. You just sit there and wonder if you sign in, or go to the front, or take a seat. No words are crossed and You ask questions and they have a nasty attitude. I strongly believe an organization like this deserves better attitudes, better help. It cost nothing to be kind.

I needed to get my cat spayed and was able to secure an appointment with this center. The service was excellent, the staff was very professional and attentive, and the price was amazing — only $150! The online booking was a bit tricky at first, but I finally got an appointment within a week. The surgery went perfectly, and my cat’s recovery has been fantastic. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for affordable, reliable, and high-quality veterinary care. 🐾💖

Thank you Paws Chicago so much for getting the feral pregnant kitty in very fast for her operation. I was stressing having more babies . she is like the 40th plus cat dumped in my yard not including the 30 plus dogs I have found rescues to pickup. The price was good at $50 the month of May special better then full price I woukd have the 10 plus boy feral cats fixed i just can not afford it. So, I get the girls fixed. Anyone reading this its May 2026 and the Ticks this year r very bad I have pulled over 10 ticks off the outside cats in the past week. I'm spraying the boundaries of my 8,000 sq foot yard but, living 200 feet from the river and all this open land i'm going to have to inspect outside kitties extra this summer I have started putting on flea and Tick meds.i also found a little bitty tick off me this has never happened before.

PAWS Chicago is not what it advertise it to be! Two months ago, a stray dog appeared in our back porch. It was freezing cold outside. Rather than leaving him on the street and let him die, we took him in, cared for him, and observed him to be healthy, calm, and well-behaved. We tried to do the right thing by reaching out to no-kill shelters to get him properly rehomed. Today, PAWS Chicago turned him away, citing only that he was "too excited" during his evaluation, with no incident on record. I want to raise this here because I think people deserve to know: **PAWS Chicago markets itself as a no-kill shelter and actively solicits donations on that basis.** But based on our experience, they appear to be "highly selective" (turning away healthy, adoptable animals) while presenting themselves to the public as a safety net for strays. If a calm, healthy dog with no behavioral incidents can't get admitted, it's hard to imagine what animal would qualify. I'll be filing a formal complaint and sharing our experience more broadly. In the meantime, **if you're considering donating to PAWS Chicago or relying on them for a stray animal situation, please be aware of this.**
