Old Town Animal Care Center

My dogs absolutely love this place. We take out dogs here for daycare, boarding and vet care for 2.5 years now. I can watch them through videos during playtime. They get the best care here. Staff is always so friendly and great with our dogs. I highly recommend Old Town Animal Care Center! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I took my new puppy to Old Town Animal Care Center for the first time a couple weeks ago and the experience couldn’t have been better! They have a parking lot so it’s super easy to get in and out. I brought my historical forms and then they let me step out to walk him while they processed the forms. Once we went back to see the vet, they were very gentle and efficient with my dog and answered all of my questions and then some! We were able to get a bunch of vaccines for him and fairly quickly! They have lots of availability and are super friendly!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at this clinic. Not only do they provide excellent veterinary care, but they also treat our dog like family at daycare. Every single person is so compassionate, patient, and attentive, and it gives us such peace of mind knowing she is loved and cared for when she’s there. You can truly tell how much they care about the animals they work with. Our dog is always excited to go in and comes home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. We are so grateful for the kindness, professionalism, and genuine love they show every day. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a vet and daycare they can completely trust with their pet.

The facility is really nice and the staff treat my dog like royalty. Dr. Kessel has helped me out a LOT with advice on being a first time dog owner- it's made the process so much easier. And everyone is very friendly- it almost doesn't even feel like a vet visit. Dash and I always look forward to our appointments!

We just moved to Chicago four days ago. Our sweet dog Johnny didn’t take the trip very well, got sick with diarrhea and wasn’t doing well. We have been a member of Banfield Clinic for 8 years but no location had an appt, one of the locations didn’t even answer the phone for two days, just an answering machine. We found Old Town Vet and couldn’t be more pleased. From the first phone call, the staff was so friendly and got us in same day. Dr. Lilja was attentive, thorough and kind. It is the first time ever that my dog didn’t shake like a leaf at the vet. His immediate needs were taken care of, his history and future care was addressed, and this is now our Vet.

Dr. Jung & Old Town Animal Care Center have been a true Chicago treasure to find here here in the city and have far exceeded my expectations! Dr. Jung is so empathetic, reassuring and communicative. She has provided tremendous care for my senior pup during a few very scary medical emergencies and my pup came out on top every time due to her notch care. The clinic as a whole is quick to respond, always willing to squeeze us in and puts my nervous mama energy at ease. We feel so lucky to have found them!!

We absolutely love Dr. Sara Kessel! We’ve seen her a few times now, and every visit has been a great experience. She is incredibly thorough, personable, and you can tell she genuinely cares about the animals she treats. She always takes the time to answer all of my questions and never makes me feel rushed. My dog is reactive, which can make vet visits stressful, but Dr. Kessel is so gentle and patient with him. She goes out of her way to make him feel comfortable, and it truly makes a difference in his experience. I’m so grateful we found her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable vet.
