First time visiting and it was amazing! Staff is really friendly and very attentive. Struggled on picking what to order because everything on the menu sounded so good, ended up getting a breakfast burrito and a cappuccino. Portions seem to be big (especially the burrito), definitely a great place for sharing! I’m not much of a coffee drinker but everyone talked about the coffee that I needed to try it myself. It was SO good. Things are a little pricey but it’s definitely worth every cent. I HIGHLY recommend the carrot cake. It’s the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. Very moist and not too sweet. If you are dining with just two people, definitely recommend asking for a booth if you’re sat by the emergency exit. They have three tiny tables for duos and it’s cute but if you want more room, ask for a booth! Overall, I’d definitely come back here.

This is an outstanding breakfast spot that delivers fresh, healthy, creative, and absolutely delicious food. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared, full of flavor, and perfectly portioned, making for a satisfying meal without feeling overly heavy. The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit, making the experience even more enjoyable. The drinks and dishes were beyond delightful, and everything exceeded our expectations. Between the exceptional food, outstanding service, and inviting atmosphere, this is a place I highly recommend. We can't wait to come back and will definitely be returning.

A beloved spot for good reason. Lula Cafe is a really cozy spot to enjoy a clean, fresh meal. The service is incredibly warm and inviting from all the workers, and the overall atmosphere is so relaxed, yet lively. It’s just somewhere you can sit and slow down, away from all your worries. I started with a couple of their house pastries. The litchi noir kouign amann had such a wonderful lightness despite its immense butter content. It was bright and had a tropical fruitiness, which made it taste very natural and not too sugary. The fennel pollen custard bun was tasty as well. It was served nice and warm and was so fluffy with a crunchy streusel topping. The famous breakfast burrito is completely worth the hype. It’s huge and stuffed with creamy avocado, the softest scrambled eggs, tomatoes, fluffy potatoes, melty cheese, and soffritto. The texture is so satisfying along with the crunch of the grilled outer tortilla. Combined with the sour cream, deceptively delicious hot sauce, and salsa, you’re in for one of the best burritos of your life. I highly recommend making your way over to Logan Square to dine in here. Will definitely be returning to try their dinner offerings as well!

The food is unique, and many options are vegetarian-friendly, though some may find the dishes overly greasy. The ambience is wonderful. They seem to have a philosophy of automatically including a 20% service charge on every bill, which I'm respectfully opposed to. If you can't run a business by selling your offerings at the prices listed on the menu—to the point where you have to automatically charge everyone 20% extra—that is the business's responsibility, not the customers'.

Lula Cafe was probably my favorite dinner I’ve had in Chicago so far. My boyfriend and I made a reservation for a Monday to celebrate our 2-year anniversary, and from the moment we walked in, we loved it. The space felt cozy but still modern, and when we sat down, we were surprised with personalized menus that said “Happy Anniversary” with our names on them. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the night feel special. As for food, coincidentally, Lula does a three-course farm dinner menu on the first Monday of every month for ~$50, so I went with that while my boyfriend ordered a la carte. Between the two of us, we tried the chickpea frites, clams sauté, roasted short rib, pasta yiayia, fried ricotta, banana bavarois, and a chocolate gelato they brought out for our anniversary. Every single dish was incredible. The short rib came with sweet potato, which I usually don’t even like, but theirs completely changed my mind. The service was just as good as the food. Our server was warm and attentive without hovering, which made the whole experience great. Honestly, just go. I can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back.

Very unique flavors for a nice birthday dinner. Great vibes with all the hats decorations and all of lady gaga's greatest hits playing all night. Also very accommodating by offering to let us order half portions of 2 pastas so we can try more variety, and even the half portions were massive. I've had their breakfast burrito for brunch before and loved it as well as the carrot cake. For dinner, the pasta yiayia was a standout. The spaghetti with mexican ingredients was a fun twist and delicious as well, at times almost tasted like asian noodles. The thai tea ice cream was my favorite of the 3 flavors we got. The london fog was good too but took a little contemplating to decide that I liked it.

I’ve never been much of a cinnamon person, but the pasta yiayia completely won me over — I cleaned my plate without a second thought. The baked feta was a highlight too, served simply with cucumbers, olives, and a drizzle of olive oil alongside sourdough toast. Sometimes simple really is best. The breakfast potatoes were a pleasant surprise as well — something a little different about the seasoning that I really enjoyed. All in all, a spot I’d happily recommend to anyone!

I would rate this as high as possible everytime. I have a severe food allergy and the chef customized the menu and dishes for us with so much care. The entire staff is so nice and accommodating. My young kids even had a memorable fun time. They have the best food with absolutely incredible service and atmosphere. The short rib and roasted chicken was perfect, and dessert blew us away. We had Addie as our server and she went above and beyond. Definitely go try this place.
