I gave Sheila five stars because she made our whole experience feel so comfortable and welcoming. They were very accommodating from the very beginning because we didn’t have an appointment, but we were still able to be seen! This was my daughter’s very first haircut, and as a mom I was a little nervous, especially since she has very curly hair. Sheila was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and reassuring from start to finish. She took the time to explain what she was doing, made my daughter feel at ease, and the final result looked amazing. You can tell she truly cares about kids and knows how to work with different hair textures. We left feeling happy, confident, and excited to come back again!
The haircut was good and the hair dresser took her time and made my daughter feel really comfortable for her first cut, she was amazing.
I was not happy with the “lock” of hair they gave us.
This was a really special event for my daughter and I, and I would have liked to see a little bit more thoughtfulness and quality with the keepsakes given for first haircuts. The picture quality was horrible and the scraps of hair in a baggie really ruined the experience. My daughter’s hair was extremely long and definitely could have been a nice lock to keep.
We went in for a first hair cut and the stylist Sara cut my kid twice. My husband called it out and she goes “oh yeah I nicked him”, no apology. She wasn’t even going to tell us until we called it out. Then she proceeded to do it again. There are plenty of other nearby places to go to over this. It’s not worth it. This image is the day after.
We had such a great experience with Sara! She was incredibly patient and friendly with my 2-year-old, making the whole haircut process smooth and stress-free. She really knows how to handle little ones, and the haircut turned out perfect. So happy we found her!
My 18-month daughter got a REALLY BAD haircut here today. I literally cried the whole way home. (And no it wasn’t her first cut, so I wasn’t emotional about that.)
I asked for a “little shorter for summer” and the stylist cut off half her hair 😩😩 By the time I realized what she was doing, it was too late to fix it without being a worse mess. And no, my daughter was not squirming around. She was zoned into her first ever screen time.
In addition to the complete chop I didn’t ask for, it’s just a horrible cut!! We went in with bangs in her eyes and now they barely exist - they’re less than 1/2” long in some spots. Who thinks that looks good?!! And it’s so uneven in the back!! The stylist obviously noticed it was bad and asked if I wanted her to “clean it up in the back” right as she was finishing up, but I was so traumatized I declined - I couldn’t bare to have her cut more hair off.
I’m really sad because I’ve had a good experience here before, but today was so traumatic, I won’t ever be back.
Photo is of her hair completely combed out (not curled under) as soon as we got home. It’s not even close to even. Her hair was nearly to her shoulders before today. She had more hair than this at 6 months old. I’m so devastated 😩
My wife and I took our son here earlier for the first time, showed them the hairstyle we wanted and the hairstylist confirmed that was okay. During the haircut, our son wasn’t moving much. Here and there, and she was struggling to adapt him while cutting his hair. We took him to a children’s haircut salon for this specific reason to adapt to him as it’s common for them to move and be unsettled for that period of time. Another thing, she was asking for our opinions and we mentioned to her several times that one side was uneven or the fade wasn’t blended of what we were asking for. When giving our opinions, she was silent but in a very passive aggressive way. Wasn’t listening to us. Wasn’t worth the time nor money, very upset as it had good reviews. We ended up taking him somewhere right after to fix it. Unfortunately I don’t know her name, but she was an older lady.
The overall experience was good since it was easy in and out but I didn’t like how they put iPad in front of kids immediately as opposed to asking or interacting. We usually limit screens and my son has been to other salons and have gotten haircut without a screen with no problem but if one was just there already and playing then he’s going to look at it. I didn’t want to take it away at that point potentially causing a scene. Our hairdresser didn’t really speak English so communication was not great. Ultimately the job was done smoothly but not sure if I’ll come back. Was hoping for more interaction in a kid friendly way since I can easily bring my iPad to just any salon.
This place is great for kids haircuts! I took my 6 and 2 yos and it went perfectly. The stylists had patience and many techniques for my toddler to prevent meltdown. They wiped down the chairs and tablets and had Youtube kids ready to go. My 2yo received a very cute certificate and $5off next haircut coupon. My 6 yr old was styled so cutely after her trim. Highly recommend.
