From the moment we walked in, the place just felt right—classic, lively, and full of personality. But the real MVP of the night was Jenny, our server/bartender. Charismatic, quick-witted, and effortlessly funny, she turned a great meal into an unforgettable experience. The kind of service that makes you want to stay for “just one more.”
And I have to give a legendary shoutout to the hot pepper 🌶️ guy—because when I said I wanted heat… he absolutely delivered. That pepper didn’t play around, and I respect it.
Amazing food, even better atmosphere, and a staff that knows how to make you feel like a regular on your first visit. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town from South Carolina!
Had to wait 11 years for our second visit, but so worth it! My sister and I enjoyed an incredible evening. Club Lago checked all the boxes. Outstanding service, warm friendly old school vibes and absolutely delicious food! We will definitely not wait so long to get back.
Tonight I dined at Club Lago and it was very comforting in the way that the dim lights And the neon signs on the windows provided the atmosphere with a little intimacy as diners started to arrive. I immediately took a seat at the bar and was welcomed with a warm hello. I ordered my first drink and as I sipped I parused the menu for the nights meal. After a short amount of time I was able to place my food order which was delivered in record time. The food is delicious home style Italian cooking and I felt like I could have spent more time there. The service was excellent and I did not have to ache and pain for the bar keep or wait staff to handle my check. I have been going to Lago for years now and they never disappoint. Great food, great atmosphere. As I left more table were seated and begun to fill. Good times over all.
i was hungry and it was wildly cold out side. i got to sit by mySELF and eat some incredible eggplant parmigiana and have a glass of wine. it was so awesome to be ALONE idk why but i just needed a spell. so thank you. YUM. and i reheated the rest in the oven the next day. incredible. thank you to the waitstaff who thought my thoughts for me bc i was too hungry to think. lol
Some of the best rustic Italian I've had. Staff is amazingly friendly. Felt like I was being treated like a regular. Best calamari ive ever had. Had the chicken marsala and the sauce was rich and not overly sweet. The basic meat sauce on the side of pasta had depth and good flavor. Not overly sweet or acidic.
As usual, Lago was a great experience on my March 2026 visit. I eat there several times a year. When I have reason to be in the neighborhood, it is always a good excuse to stay for a meal.
My husband and I had apps, salad, pasta mains, and dessert along with a bottle of pinot noir. I enjoyed tortellini in red sauce while he had the gluten free pasta with bolognese. Everything was delicious accompanied by attentive service. I look forward to the next dine.
All our food was amazing and top notch! The owner and staff are friendly and we'll versed on the menu items. Some of the best Thousand Island dressing I've ever had. The sauce in the Veal Saltimboca was not to be believed! It was so good, we dipped our bread in it after the meal was finished!
Never not left feeling better than when i arrived. Always an excellent meal. But it’s the people that make this place like no other. The staff make you feel like family. Club Lago is the best!
