This place was recommended to us by a local, and we’re incredibly grateful for that recommendation. I’ve had plenty of deep dish pizza before, but nothing quite like this. It was absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend giving it a try. Come hungry, and don’t skip the salads, they’re freshly prepared by dedicated salad chefs and are just as impressive as the pizza. There’s no outdoor seating, but the indoor atmosphere feels authentic and adds to the overall experience. The staff was attentive, our order was handled perfectly, and we had a fantastic meal from start to finish.

The wait was long, but trust me, the food was so worth it. Best Greek salad I've ever had, and the Mediterranean bread was love at first bite. I went in looking to try the pizza pot pie, but I'm leaving obsessed with the bread and salad. Shoutout to Juan for keeping it classy despite a rude guest, and Amber, our server, was absolute perfection - warm, friendly, and attentive. If you're looking for a great dining experience, look no further.

A classic Chicago pizza spot with a cozy & old-school cabin feel. We visited on a weekday and still had about a 30-minute wait. The Mediterranean bread was a flavorful start, and the house salad was surprisingly good with its house dressing. The famous pizza pot pie was the clear highlight, with a rich and cheesy texture and an upside down bake. A very hearty & quintessential experience for the Chicago pizza scene.

Realy good experience on our first visit. Spending a day in the city is always an adventure for us. Seeing how close we were to this iconic establishment we had to give it a try. I was not disappointed in any bit. We split a Meatball grinder and the smaller sized Pizza Pot Pie, and half the grinder ended up coming home with us (it warmed up beautifully, BTW). The atmosphere is pleasant. Lots of dark wood everywhere. The seats are good for the dining experience. Service was attentive, when food came they gave us a very nice break while dining, refilling water frequently, and were right there with the check and a to go container when we were ready and not a minute before. It was a great experience and there is a lot on the menu to explore in future visits!

Martin was so very friendly, accommodating & helpful as our bus boy. We had a drink at the bar while waiting for our table and was Ever was accommodating as well. The place was packed with about 45 minute wait. SOOO WORTH IT! They have been here 50+ yrs which speaks volumns!!! Pizza pot pie was delish :P

The food was amazing. The waiter was enthusiastic. The atmosphere was somewhat noisy but definitely quieter than any other restaurant we tried in Chicago. The portion sizes were very large. Would definitely eat there again but would probably skip the appetizer unless we had a larger group.

My husband and I visited this restaurant during our trip to Chicago while traveling from Southern California. We stopped by on a Saturday around 3 PM in March and, surprisingly, there was no wait! Inside, the restaurant is very tight and cozy, there’s really no room to spare. The staff were super nice and attentive. Our server took the time to explain the menu and told us what they are famous for, so we ordered the Mediterranean bread and a half-pound pizza pot pie. The food was delicious and definitely worth trying at least once. That said, now that I’ve tried it, I’m not sure I would come back if the wait were more than 30 minutes, which seems to be the norm. We probably just got lucky that day!

Place is an experience all the food we got was awesome!! I rarely ever give 5 stars . The antipasta salad the pizza the dipping sauce all killer. The dressing i guess you could call it has the consistency of ranch. But tastes like a taziki, garlic sauce. Poppy seed dipping sauce with killer. And the Mediterranean bread is a MUST!! ingredients in the pizza pot pie are limited to a meat sauce and mushrooms or a vegetarian sauce and mushrooms. But it's worth it.Friday saturday sunday. You're gonna wait an hour or more to eat your best Bet is to go during the week and use there valet parking .Because parking is like parking is in the city.Horrible.. And the place is small. That's why the long wait.
