Cheyenne Botanic Gardens

This place is beautiful and is very hands-on, as described online, for children. My 2 year old and 6 year old loved it, as did we. There is plenty of shade on hot days.

Very nice public garden. Free entry so a great value! A frustration is that they have relatively few of the plants labeled - maybe a quarter.

A really beautiful place. It's also free! Which was even better! I went during the middle of the week, so it was pretty empty. I spent several hours enjoying the flora and fauna and I know I didn't see everything. I also didn't expect the place to be so expansive or that this and Lion's Park was connected. They had all the geographical locations; humid and hot, wet/rainy, hot and dry, cold, etc. I dig their gift area, I purchased several magnetic butterflies. Didn't realized they were glowing in the dark until I turned off my metal lamps I had attached them too, them slightly freaked out when I saw some glowy spots pop out of no where. I'm also really glad they had a vending machine since I was dying of thirst. The bathrooms were really clean as well.

For being free to visit this is a pretty nice well maintained botanical garden. You can visit this all times of the year since the majority of the botanical garden is inside. The ladies working the front desk when we visited were very kind and will answer any questions you have. I do prefer the Denver Botanic Garden over the Cheyenne, but the Denver one is not free vs this one is. They do have a large indoor event space I noticed too, when we were visiting someone was using it for a baby shower venue. I would not go out of my way to come here, but I think if you are looking for things to do while visiting Cheyenne might as well add it to the list!

Such a beautiful facility. I attended a watercolor painting class with Rebecca and it was so awesome! We all enjoyed ourselves and learned a new style of painting.

Wow such a beautiful place. Very carefully taken care of at every single turn. Soooo many various plants, flowers, in all types of climate controlled areas/rooms. Stories high, inside and out. Lots of things for kiddos to do and experience too! I have been here three times. Never ceases to amaze me on how peaceful it is at every turn.

Beautiful botanical garden and free! It’s small but well manicured and delightful walking around inside and out. There’s a rooftop overlooking the grounds, and lots of places to sit and relax among the plants. Cheyenne is a nice city.
