I respect what Stand For Animals does for the community, providing affordable pet care that would otherwise be unreachable in this economy. I had a few issues with getting scheduled after paying my deposit, and had to chase getting scheduled down, almost to escalation. Feedback: Once a customer pays their deposit, they should be on a list for scheduling and not receive the run around and have to keep calling to get scheduled. My dog gets fearful as are most chihuahuas, so getting bloodwork was a challenge. I was given a few “calming drugs” to administer night before, and day of dental surgery, which acted against my dog and caused his blood pressure and body temperature to drop, so he was unable to get neutered, I believe he was over medicated based on his small size. These issues didn’t impact my review of this clinic overall, as they are doing God’s work (proverbs 12:10) The facility is clean and has a bright, happy energy. The staff is respectful and accommodating. The environment fosters love and care for animals and I appreciate that. Thank you for caring for my dog, it is appreciated. He seems much calmer and happier overall, and he wasn’t fearful when I picked him up. Kudos.

I recently brought my dog in for a dental cleaning, and while it appears to have been done well and was priced more affordably than other clinics, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. From start to finish, the customer service was lacking. Interactions with staff (outside of the doctor) consistently felt rushed, short, and frankly rude. It was also very difficult to get in touch with someone by phone, and when we finally did, there was little willingness to help or accommodate even simple requests. For example, I asked about the possibility of picking my dog up 15min earlier than their standardized 3:30 pickup time due to a personal appointment and was immediately told “no” without any discussion or flexibility. One of the most concerning aspects was the lack of communication during the procedure. There were no updates provided while my dog was under anesthesia, which is understandably incredibly stressful for any pet owner. Upon pickup, the experience was equally impersonal — Matilda was simply brought out with no verbal update on how the procedure went, how she was doing, or what to expect during recovery. We were also not given clear discharge instructions, which is something I would expect as a basic standard of care. While I do appreciate the lower cost and the dental results themselves seem fine, the level of care and communication surrounding the experience was not. Going forward, I would personally choose to pay more for a clinic that provides better communication, compassion, and overall client experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly attentive, compassionate, and understanding of the situation with our pit bull, Rain. You could truly tell they cared about both our dog and our family, and they worked with us during a very difficult time. After running tests, they discovered Rain had pyometra and needed emergency surgery. They literally saved her life — she was extremely ill and only a day away from it rupturing. It was one of the scariest situations we’ve ever faced with our sweet baby girl. Thank God for Stand For Animals and for the amazing vets, surgeon, and team who cared for her. Rain was able to come home the very same day, and we could tell she had been very well taken care of. We are beyond grateful for the kindness, professionalism, and care they showed throughout the entire process. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate veterinary care.

This place is absolutely terrible, and I genuinely don’t understand how they have such great reviews. I brought my dog in for her annual checkup, and the only feedback I received was that she needed to go on a diet, which felt like a very lazy assessment considering she is a mixed breed and they didn’t take much else into consideration. With Moura, she ended up having a UTI, and I’m frustrated that it was something I had to bring up myself. I’m not a vet — I shouldn’t be expected to diagnose issues just because I’m the one watching her every day. I paid for an exam and expected a thorough evaluation, but it felt like they simply looked at her, made a quick judgment, and sent us on our way.

I brought my four year old dog, to Stand For Animals Charlotte for what was supposed to be a routine dental cleaning advertised at $225 for pets under 5 with no consultation required. When I arrived to pick her up, I was emailed an invoice for $320 because they performed three Level 1 tooth extractions without ever contacting me beforehand. What makes this even more frustrating is that the paperwork I signed specifically stated that if additional procedures or decisions needed to be made, I would be contacted first. I provided two phone numbers and not a single call was made. As a pet owner, I should not have to find out after the fact that my dog had teeth removed, especially her front teeth. When I saw her after the procedure, she looked completely distressed. Her face was soaking wet, almost as if water had been repeatedly poured over it— when I questioned this the vet aide told me because the doctor uses water during the procedure. My dog was asleep… how does the doctor completely miss her mouth and soak her face. The other dogs I saw being picked up are the same ones I saw dropped off and did not look like that. She also had blood all over the side of her mouth. When I questioned it, I was told it was “drool,” which honestly felt insulting because the blood was clearly higher up near her nose, not hanging from the bottom of her mouth like drool would. The front desk staff was also rude and condescending when I explained that my dog does not react well to the pain medication prescribed. Instead of listening to me, they acted as if I didn’t know my own dog. This facility takes in a large number of dogs very early in the morning and keeps them until late afternoon, and unfortunately the experience felt extremely impersonal. I understand that medical situations can change during procedures, but communication with pet owners is the bare minimum. If extractions were truly necessary, I should have been called first or the procedure should have been rescheduled after discussing it with me. I left feeling blindsided, upset, and heartbroken seeing my dog come out of surgery missing teeth without my knowledge or consent.

This place is awesome and the people who work there are fantastic. I was low on funds and my dog had a life threatening illness and they without hesitation help me and saved my dogs life. This is no exaggeration I thank God for Stand For Animals Vet Clinic. Me and Paris will be forever grateful.

It would be nice when appointments like dental cleanings are booked the expectation that you would have to wait 30mins before your animal is called back would be nice. I was literally late for work today. “Drop off” was at 7:30am but she wasn’t technically dropped off until after 8am

Can’t recommend this place enough. They were able to provide affordable care to a stray cat that we care for in our neighborhood. We brought him in to be fixed and because we suspected dental issues. They let us know up front they might not have been able to care for neutering and dental extractions in the same surgery. We were so hopeful they would, and they DID! Neutering, 9 dental extractions, antibiotics, steroids, blood work. All in 1 easy drop off appt. They went above and beyond on a discounted appt for a STRAY. 10/10 recommend.
