The Co-Op is my go-to spot for local produce and loose leaf tea. The quality is always excellent, and it feels good supporting local farmers and makers. The produce is fresh, the selection is thoughtfully curated, and their loose leaf tea options are top-notch. Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere make every visit enjoyable. Highly recommend if you care about quality, community, and shopping local.

Opinioni dei visitatori
My favorite store by far!!!!!!! The only thing is I wish they were more careful about the ingredients in these products. Seed oils in foods should never be sold for human consumption, and other known ingredients that have been found to cause serious health concerns. And some of the prices are insane. Like $20 for a tub of butter? I pray it doesnt have a speck of seed oils for that price. Otherwise I love this store!!
The absolute best place in town to get fresh and organic food, beauty products, and sustainable products. The selection of health products is amazing, I have never once seen this many different organic and natural items available in one place. All the spices beans coffee and a lot more Do not come in containers, you just bring your own.
Co-op grocery store in Carbondale accepts Link Match with SNAP/EBT. A few local produce items and local products, bulk honey, bulk section for grains, nuts, spices. Water dispenser for filling jugs, quality personal care items and more. My hopes are that the store creates a consistent compost system for unsold food.
I was waiting in line today, and the shopper in front of me and check out person where taking a much longer time than average to talk and connect, no biggie. They wanted to meet one another outside of the grocery store, personally. After about 2 min I pushed my objects forward and asked if they could be bagged. The shopper thanked me for my patients, at that time. A good 2-3 minutes of waiting makes no big deal to me, especially if it's helping someone else. Once she left, I was making small talk with the cashier. She said " thanks for being patient. She lost her husband." I replied to "Tin" (the cashiers name, shortened from christin or something i cannot remember unfortunately)the name the cashier was going by, "unfortunately been there and have been through it." The cashiers response was absolutely deplorable. She said "yeah, well she was pregnant! Where you pregnant?" Umm excuuuuse me? Are we really making tally marks on whos heartache was worth more than the others? Are we seriously "keeping score?!??!" I have contemplated several times in becoming a member, as I am apart of several other cooperatives, like my electrical service. I've lived here for almost 40 years of my life. I have never been judged or compared in such a way. Losing a spouse is completely different than losing a family member. We CHOOSE who we want to spend our entire lives with. Other family members are in our lives in a different way. We are fortunate enough to have them in our lives, wether we choose them or not. Well "tin," I do not appreciate you trying to compare someone losing their spouse to another person losing their spouse. It is an experience that you can never "grow" from or have control over. It hurts on a completely different label. Tin, because of your judgements today, I will not, ever, become apart of your coop. You shouldn't be allowed to join, if anyone wants my opinion. Please think before you speak, and consider the ramifications your words carry, especially because it's YOUR JOB ON THE LINE. I have never been so appalled or disrespected. However the person who served me at the deli ( my first time trying your deli, I believe their name was "Shantelle," went 1000% above and beyond to make me a corn beef sandwich EXACTLY THE WAY I WANTED IT, no questions asked. I would have never asked for so many specific alterations, had I not been asked. It was absolutely THE BEST reuben I could ever ask for, that deli worker deserves a RAISE, IMMEDIATELY 💜
World class bakers. The best zucchini bread in the universe. Their woodbox gang cookies? Divine. Their gingerbread cookies? Jolly and perfect. But the zucchini bread will forever have my heart and soul. Might I add, they also carry the elite choccy milk. 11/10
They have link match so if you use link/snap/EBT you can shop their and get some vouchers at the end. Each voucher is $1 store value on LOCAL produce only. But if I can use link then get a free watermelon with vouchers... I guess I can't complain too much :)
If I'm in Carbondale I make sure to stop here! Employees are always super nice and helpful. The store is clean and kept very neat and tidy. Restrooms are clean. Big selection of wholesome, quality, natural foods! Deli is superb and I don't leave without grabbing a slice of pizza, a cookie and a drink (all made with healthy ingredients of course.)
