Chesapeake Bay Bridge Scenic Overview

Beautiful spot! Visited on a sunny May day for my second time in about two years and it didn’t disappoint. Calm, scenic overlook with great views of the water and shoreline; we watched a flock of birds skimming the surface and, most amazingly, a dozen dolphins hunting close to shore. Perfect for wildlife watching, photos, and a peaceful break. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

Lovely southbound drive across Chesapeake Bay, travelling from the Cape Charles area on Virginia’s Eastern Shore toward Virginia Beach. A beautiful ~30 km (19 miles) crossing with endless water views. Priceless!

An engineering marvel to say the least. The views of the Atlantic and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge at spectacular. Watch the sun set in the evening over the Atlantic from this vista point is priceless. Time just freezes and you are in awe of the spectacle that’s in front of you. Must visit spot with family and kids. Lots to see and enjoy. Will become a memory for a lifetime

Absolutely gorgeous views and a wonderful place to walk around (while taking in the sights) before heading to the bridge officially.

Since you can’t stop at one of the islands till 2028, this is the best place to catch a glimpse of the bridge from a far and photo opportunities

BREATHTAKING VIEW!! This tunnel bridge is a fascinating tourist attraction and also a convenient method of travel. It's a 14 mile long bridge that has 2 tunnels. With a gorgeous scenic overlook! The water is endless and on a sunny day if your going to Virginia Beach then I recommend taking this route!!
