Skin and Beauty Center - Burbank

I just moved here and needed a good dermatologist. They are in my network so I came because I had a lesion on my head. My first opinion when I walked in the office was how clean and pleasing to the look the office is. The reception had a problem signing me in but went the extra mile to call my insurance. Thank goodness I was early. Then I was given a tablet to sing in on and there was an issue with that and the assistant came over quickly and asked to help. . So now I’m checked in and I’m called for my appointment with Jillian. She was sweet and funny and extremely professional. She went over a few issues since I was new, then explained in detail how she was going to biopsy my head. It was quick and painless and I was out in no time. When making an appointment for my follow up I was at a different receptionist and again, sweet, helpful and professional. I’m impressed, I believe I found my new dermatologist. I think you’ll like them too.

I came in as a new patient after being referred by my provider. I was seen by a doctor who asked if I preferred a male or female PA. I said I wanted neither. Shortly after, she stepped out and asked a nearby nurse/front desk staff member. That staff member stated in front of her that I had requested a male PA. Nobody ever came to my room or asked me that, and I did not make that request. She stated to the doctor that I had requested a male PA, which was not true and was lying about something I never said and also lying the doctor in her face This was very upsetting and made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected as a patient. While I was in the room for a skin exam in a vulnerable position, a male PA attempted to enter without properly knocking or announcing himself. The doctor had to physically hold the door to prevent him from entering, which made the situation feel very uncomfortable and unprofessional. After my appointment, I spoke with a supervisor to file a complaint. The supervisor was polite and provided names and an email for follow-up. I also want to note the physical layout of the clinic, which added to my discomfort. There appears to be a balcony-style area with a large curtain and seating near the front entrance/lobby area. This setup felt unsettling, as it raised concerns about privacy if the curtain or partition is open. There were also visible signs of wear, such as marks on the walls near the door and heavily used seating in the waiting area. As a first-time male patient of color this experience left me uncomfortable and unsure about returning, and I do not feel like coming back here Terrible disrespectful rude people who work here.

Jillian Roy is not only professional but personable too! She answers all of my questions and advises me with the best possible opinions. She never tries to "sell" me any treatments and leaves it up to me to decide. I really appreciate that! She and the whole staff are very friendly and customer service oriented. I highly recommend this place!

Gisela, FNP has been giving me treatments for 2 years now and she is the absolute best! Her knowledge, ability to listen to my needs and put her practice into work is so reassuring! Love trusting her with my goals

I see Dr Ashley every couple months for help with my skin. He's one of the kindest doctors I've ever worked with. He's knowledgeable and always willing to explain things to me when I have questions. His staff is also very friendly and easy to work with. The building itself has plenty of parking and is always nicely kept and very open feeling. Everything about this place is great.

Dr. Sadat and staff identified and cleared my husband's skin cancer, quickly and professionally. My husband and I recently moved to Las Vegas and visited a dermatologist several times that did none of the above, in fact they were dismissive of my elderly spouse's concerns. One trip to Burbank and a plan of action was executed making sure the skin cancer was eliminated with little to no scarring. Thank you doctor and Skin & Beauty Center.

Rita and her medical assistant were wonderful. I had several cherry angiomas removed and it was quick and painless. They both made me feel at ease, as I was nervous about the procedure. I will definitely come back for more services.

This is a clean, modern office with friendly and competent front desk and medical assistant staff. This practice is extremely well organized and efficient. There was minimum wait time from checking in to when I saw my provider. The provider (Rita B.) explained very clearly what my issue was and how to address it with three different prescriptions that she prescribed. She was professional, thorough, and friendly. I had a very good experience at this dermatologist office.
