This Sharky's Restaurant never dissapoints even in what you may call a bad day scenario, they make it right at the moment. Our experience here with the food has always been amazing from their achiote burrito, chicken salad, delicious enchiladas, to their new waygu meat options(smash burger taco or Philly cheese waygu burrito) their fresh water drink selection is also good(we water it down, due to the sweetness) their fresh salsa bar selection is always good. I'm not surprised this restaurant has + 10 years best in choice award. I will write of all the Sharky's I have been minus the one in marina del rey. This one is the one that gets down with great quality food. Thank You to the team for always taking care of us.

On today’s work trip I stopped by Sharky’s Mexican, and right off the bat, I was impressed. The restaurant was spotless, the service was fantastic, and then I spotted the Wagyu Philly Burrito on the menu. Wagyu beef, sharp white cheese, poblano peppers, caramelized onions, crispy potatoes, au jus, hot sauce… and sesame seeds on the outside of the tortilla? I was all in. On paper, this thing sounded like it couldn’t miss. Unfortunately, it just didn’t deliver for me. I was expecting the Wagyu to have more of a ground beef crumble—something with a little texture and bite. Instead, the meat was so finely blended that it almost had a mushy consistency, and that threw the whole burrito off for me. The flavors were there, but they never really came together into anything memorable. Also the potatoes had no crunch to them so I think my mouth just wanted texture where as the burrito texture was just mush…It wasn’t bad… it just wasn’t something I’d find myself craving again. The silver lining? I didn’t finish it, so I accidentally saved myself a bunch of calories. Now, the chips and salsa? Absolute fire. And one thing Sharky’s definitely doesn’t skimp on is portion size—you’ll get your money’s worth. Overall, I’d absolutely go back because the service and atmosphere were great, but next time I’m ordering something different.
It is rare that I come to Sharkey's but I do enjoy it everytime! I specifically eas missing their nachos so we came in on a Sunday night and ordered the nachos with chicken and steak. It was delicious, we throughly enjoyed it. The tortilla chips are so good, so lightly yet perfectly fried and the cheese is real cheese, not the plastic kind. All the other ingredients were so fresh as well. Service was fast and courteous. The inside has ample seating, its booths and tabels where you seat your self, it's more fast casual than a restaurant in my opinion. The reason I gave 4 stars is because the nachos came out to be $29.00 when we added protein. As delicious as it is, thats a very steep price especially when it's a $8 uncharge to add steak and I feel like we really had to dig to find any steak or chicken. I will still be back but not often since I cant pay $29.00 for nachos often.
Ive done around 300 reviews and this may be only the 3rd negative one, but this place earned it 100%. We walked in on sunday 6pm. We got asada nachos and chicken enchilada w 2 drinks. It was $60. The nachos were impossible to eat because the chips were paper thin and the fake cheese melted and dried so fast you couldn't pry them up without breaking the chips. The fake sour creme was a thin line. The meat had obviously been cooked hours ago as it was hard and cold, and the tomatoes were already mushy. The jalapeños were brown and mushy. The guacamole actually wasnt bad but certainly didn't make it edible. Should i expect the food to be old because i walked in near closing on sunday? Maybe it should be discounted 90% then. Since i hadnt eaten all day, I actually attempted to eat some of it but it was too disgusting. The chicken enchiladas were just as mushy and the rice had obviously sat all day. We literally got up and left after 5 minutes. Im posting a pic which is obviously deceiving. Dont let the size fool you. This food is trash. The last negative review i left was about Shake Shak in century city mall and they immediately emailed me a $25 credit which i never used. I don't want a $60 credit back from this place so don't bother, because i'll never ever use it. I wouldn't insult a homeless person with this food. In fact use the $60 to buy some edible nutritional food products. Im certainly aware that prices have increased, and im a firm supporter of employees getting paid properly, but serving cheap food cooked hours ago in a dirty resturaunt at top prices is basically a scam.
I’ve visited Empire Plaza a few times, and today I finally decided to give Sharky’s a try. As expected, parking in this plaza is a challenge, plan on circling the lot a couple of times before finding a spot. Once inside, the restaurant was very clean and welcoming. The staff were attentive, friendly, and had great energy, which I really appreciated. The salsa bar was a nice touch and had a good variety. I ordered the chicken fajita bowl, and unfortunately, the chicken was a big letdown. It didn’t taste fresh at all and honestly didn’t even taste like chicken. The texture and flavor were both off, and it left me pretty disappointed. With a name like “Woodfired Grill,” I expected a lot more from the protein quality. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because the service and setup are great but the food, especially the chicken, really needs improvement.
I always love dining here because there's so many great vegetarian options for me, their Burbank location is one of my favorites the team members are always so attentive and nice. I love that my meals always include a bag of chips and the salsa bar is always a fun way to try new flavors. Their menu always taste great and fresh lots of healthy options.
We absolutely love Sharky's. I'm saying we absolutely love Sharky's because my wife absolutely loves Sharkys and I love whatever she loves. We have very positive memories of this place, not just this particular one, but really any Sharkys we've ever been to. They all seem to be very well managed, and the food has been predictably good. Granted, in the past, in our younger days, we used to order more carb rich food. Burritos and tacos and things like that But now we try to be very careful with carbohydrates, so we certainly have moved to ordering salads and protein. For that, the restaurant really delivers, very large salads with plenty of good protein, not to mention the chips and salsa, and the variety of the salsa buffet that they have. Also, I like any restaurant that has the self-serve soda fountain. It's nice, because if you're into sodas, you can create fun combinations and enjoy yourself like a little kid. The place is a bit loud, granted, but you can always sit outside if the weather is nice. They have nice big windows and it's easy to sit and have a nice conversation, and lose yourself, enjoying the view through the windows. As you know, there's no table service at Sharky's, so you can save a bit of money because you don't have to tip as much, we always tip the staff at the checkout counter a little bit, but not as much as the servers. My wife got the giant tortilla salad that you see in the video, and of course took most of it home. She remarked that probably next time she'll get the tortillas on the side, because they added a lot of carbohydrates to the meal. I ordered the protein bowl, which was also large and very satisfying. It had zero carbohydrates, so I was able to polish off the whole thing. It's nice, coming to a restaurant that gives you a large portion of food like that, because you end up with dinner for two days. The quality was very good, especially for the money.
I tried the BBQ Chicken Salad and a Chicken Burrito at Sharky’s. The salad was delicious, and the portions are very generous—big enough to share. The burrito wasn’t really my favorite, but that’s just my personal taste. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. Overall, a great experience!
