The facilities are modern and clean. But they have update their systems to this century. There are no APi integrations with MyChart or northwell which is concerning. At triage the attendant spoke in an unintelligible creole. I asked for instructions in writing because I am Autistic and easily distracted by sound. The waiting room is pretty chaotic the security guards are always on the phone, and herd patients onto the waiting area even though theres like 8 waiting wings which were behind rods. Once i got to the second floor I was examined by an attending nurse who was super nice her name was Amanda. We discussed briefly the need for a universal health record that would make her job more efficient and provide optimal care. I am a snow shoveler for DSNY hoping to get permanent employment, with the ends of having earned income to substantiate my citipfheps voucher. Onboarding a patient facing dashboard for shelter patients is cost free. I reside at the adult sanctuary at 1090 Myrtle, most of hospitals business comes from shelters. You’d think they would have honed an intimate relationship with those patients.

Visitor notes
Been here twice for lab tests and once for radiology. Overall pleasantly surprised how well my walk ins have been. My last visit was for a lab test and an Xray. Was in and out within an hour. Security was polite and helpful in giving me directions. Receptionists at both lab work and radiology were also polite and quick signing me in. Technicians were professional and courteous. Restrooms and facilities were clean. Would go back for both services again.
I arrived for my orthopedics appointment 45 minutes early, yet an hour has passed and no one has attended to me. I was simply told that I need to put my name on the list. Meanwhile, the women at the registration desk were just chatting with each other; they didn't care about anyone. Furthermore, while I was trying to explain the situation, one of the patients picked a fight with me and attempted to assault me. There was no security present at the time, and no one came to help. Except for the director... Incidentally, when I went to see the doctor, a different doctor attended to me. Without even looking at my test results, he said, "Okay, you can come back in a month," even though I had undergone imaging and wanted detailed information. He only started paying attention once I mentioned these details, but it felt as though he was just trying to brush me off.
On April 3, 2026, I spent a few hours at the hospital for a minor procedure to remove some suspicious cysts from my breast. The staff was incredibly sincere, compassionate, and attentive. They cared for me and looked after me as if they were members of my own family. My doctor, Anna Arsenous, is the absolute best at what she does. She is experienced, and her warm, smiling demeanor put me completely at ease before the procedure; I can say the exact same thing about all the nurses and the anesthesiologist who attended to me. I am truly grateful. They did everything in their power to ensure my comfort during this difficult day. They truly touched my heart. If I had to give a star rating, I would give a thousand—ten thousand, a hundred thousand! 💫 Thanks to these compassionate hands, I left the hospital in high spirits and in good health. May God bless them. They will always be in my prayers❤️.
Take time to read my story: I went to the ER yesterday because I’m early in pregnancy and it’s my first baby so I started to feeling pain and saw some spotting which really scared me and I just wanted to make sure my baby was okay, the lady at the reception didn’t had a sense of urgency even tho she’s on ER (EMERGENCY ROOM), since my husband couldn’t get in with me I was really stressed and I cried for 10 seconds until the blonde female nurse that take your vitals before you even get into a bed came and with the most apathy asked me why I was crying and she said and quote “stop doing that you’re making it worse” (mind you I was stressed so in order to not cry I was shaking my leg) so from the start it was not a place I wanted to be but I wanted to make sure that everything was okay with my baby, moving forward I get in and the guy that takes your registration couldn’t hear anything and I literally had to scream my whole personal information for him to get it, it was really frustrating, then a bold guy (that I believe is a nurse idk because all of them where mixed so) he was the first person who was nice and kind to me, he came and put me and IV took some blood samples and after that the guy with the registration tell me to sign up some things (so I literally had to sign up with the IV just done because I’m right handed and that hurt) then I literally waited 6 hrs and a half for someone to come and told me what was going on. They took me to do an ultrasound (it was my first) and didn’t even asked me if I wanted to see anything hear anything nothing at all, the whole thing was painful and really uncomfortable. At one point one nurse that was there with the tech literally left the room and left the curtain open when the doctor told me to clean and change (thank God nobody was outside but my mother in law). Overall I liked 1 doctor (the one that discharged me and took the time to explain everything to me she was really nice and kind) 2 nurses (the one that took my blood and one Spanish lady that really cared about people) and 2 security guards. I can go on and on about how poor they treated me and everyone else they seem more interested in the coworkers and their phones than the patient. Is sad to see how nursing and the whole medical system seems to be more appreciative towards how much your make than really doing it for the passion of helping others.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding care the Register Nurse (VERA) 3 Floor provided to my mother last weekend. Her level of dedication, compassion, and professionalism truly stood out. She was attentive to every detail, patient, and consistently ensured my mother was comfortable and well cared for. It’s not easy to find someone who combines skill with genuine kindness, but he did so effortlessly. His commitment gave our family peace of mind during a time when it mattered most. We are incredibly grateful for the support and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of quality care.
Mixed feelings about this place. The doctor and nurses in the day shift were amazing— empathetic bedside manner, routinely checked in, made me feel secure and taken care of. They went above and beyond to address and validate my concerns. However when they switched to the evening shift staff, demeanor was much worse. The nurse was negligent, rude and dismissive, and the doctor only came around 1 time within 3 hours. I felt unprepared at discharge at how to tackle my recovery.
I am extremely grateful for the care and support I have received at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. The staff has been incredibly kind, professional, and attentive throughout my visits. They have helped me so much, and I truly appreciate the time and dedication they have shown. Thank you for everything you do. I am sincerely grateful for the excellent care I received
